Please... Look at the "JUSTICE FOR CADENCIA" page here on Facebook and spread the word to help save this innocent child from this corrupt Judge!
Seriously, where is the sanity in Judge Jennifer Jensen placing a six year old in the care and custody of a drug addict that needs 24 hour supervision 7 days a week. To top it off, the supervisors are people that have been documented as enablers to his addictions by Judge Hall. Yet Judge Jensen ordered this innocent little girl into a situation like that yesterday morning and should be held accountable for neglect of a child as well as endangering the welfare of a child!!!
I agree with Gordon F., Thomas B., Denise P., and Arthur S.! Dr. Bashkoff was extremely helpful to me! I highly recommend her to anyone who might be in need! Definitely two thumbs up! Thank you SO MUCH, Dr. B! =)
I have been meeting with Dr.Bashkoff for several months and feel that she has been highly effective and instrumental in helping me to deal with the recent death of my son. As I read some of the negative comments, I question why people continued to meet with her if they had such, according to their comments, horrific experiences. I found Dr. Bashkoff to be highly professional and insightful as she has guided me through the grieving process. How many of the malcontents were court required or mandated to attend sessions by family members???? I highly recommend Dr. Bashkoff and encourage others to not believe EVERYTHING that is written. Some people have difficulty hearing the truth. If for whatever reason a theraputic relationship is not established, then you should seek another professional, but I can tell you she has my highest recommendation.
I saw Dr. B for quite some time and left. If you are thinking about seeing this therapist, have a look at the "bipolar" nature of her reviews. That should tell you something. I am not surprised some people actually liked her manner and I suspect they did not see her for an extended period of time. It is quite possible that she did not show them any sharpness or rudeness or hostility as she did to others. To me, she did all of the things the other reviewers said in my sessions- ate (I am a recovering bulimic), did her lipstick, was not listening, etc. but there were times she was very different and so I kept going. She is definitely not a consistent person and I did NOT like the way she talked about other people or the offensive language she used (and I don't mean swearing). She was flippant and disrespectful in the way she talked about others. She did not exhibit tolerance or respect. I left because, after seeing another therapist, I came to understand that I was acting out my own history with my narcissistic mother through her behavior. I saw her have a very strange episode in one of my sessions that made it clear to me that she has her own mental health issues. I don't recommend her to anyone who is somewhat fragile- you could very well end up angry, quite confused, and running to another therapist to find out what just happened. Not an uncommon scenario with this therapist.
Attentive, experienced, and professional are the best words to describe my experiences with Dr. Bashkoff. Throughout my therapy sessions, Dr. Bashkoff helped me identify my issues, work through them, and become a better person. She motivated me to takes the necessary steps in my life to make the changes needed and now I am a better person because of it. She gets right to the point, no nonsense. Each session helped me work through my issues in a straight forward manner, leaving me with a clear vision and understanding of what I was going through. I am forever thankful and glad to have met Dr. Bashkoff.
I usually do not bother with writing reviews or give advice as to what provider anyone should use but I felt that need to write this one. I was referred to Dr. Bashkoff and I looked her up because I had no idea what I was looking for in a therapist, because I never needed one. I overlooked some of the reviews and decided to go and meet the dr as she was recommended by my own primary care physician. I am so glad I took the chance. She guided me though the worse time of my life. She helped me understand why these things in my life were happening and gave me understanding, guidance, and direction as to how to fix my problem and move on. I still see her today. Do yourself a favor, do not listen to everything you read.
I was assigned Dr. Bashkoff in court. She did a comprehensive job and understood years of conflict brought on by my ex. I will be forever grateful. Thank you
Dear "Dr" Bashkoff,
You have ruined my friend's life with your biased, ignorant, un-therapeutic, cavalier and generally clueless "treatment." Did you buy your PhD online or go to some unaccredited school in the West Indies? You need a real degree and to get some sense of humanity.
This incompetent fool was court assigned to my custody case in my divorce, and as in a lot of the reviews above, ate, drank tea, generally didn't pay attention to what was going on, who we were, just sort of ghost wrote her way jadedly through her job.
It is unbelieveable that this person is allowed to practice, let alone be court assigned to handle such evaluations, and when i raised an objection to that and requested the next doctor on the list, it was denied, because my objection was based on the reviews that I saw here. I have been wrongfully seperated from my child for going on a year now, and when i called the number to file a report of complaint on the "doctor", I got the "doctor" herself, giving me a bunch of crap.
If you are going through a divorce, and get this person assigned to you for your case IMMEDATELY request another evaluator, because this quack couldnt evaluate a dog show, let alone determine your child's future.
I saw the good doctor (cough, cough) many years ago as a bulimic who was significantly depressed and had an history of suicidal ideation. My boyfriend arrived at the first appointment early and she spoke with him first. In less than five minutes, Baskoff insulted him for not “doing enough with his college degree,” and arguing with his reasons for wanting me to get better, and essentially invalidated and emasculated him. He so badly wanted me to get better that he didn't even tell me how disgusted he was by Baskoff's behavior for quite some time. During approximately 15-20 appointments, she wasn't often late, she fixed her makeup, didn't take notes, daydreamed, touched up her nails, drew pictures, doodled and ate. She ate in front of a bulimic-Repeatedly! This wasn't any type of immersion therapy or CBT—It was just horrible and ignorant behavior. I had been hospitalized on several occasions for low potassium, stomach problems, anemia, and seizures prior to and during my time with Bashkoff. My father, boyfriend and even I requested admission to Four Winds and she stated on several occasions that I wasn't that sick, that thin, that severe, etc., and hence, she wouldn't refer me. Then I had a heart attack because of my low potassium, went to Four Winds, got the help I needed and after 18 years of active bulimia, I am now a healthy, married psychiatric nurse and clinical psychotherapist. If you or someone you love is being treated by Bashkoff, find another doctor. It will be the best thing you ever do.
