I recently purchased a mattress from Taft in Albany and they had the best selection and best prices out of all the competitors we shopped. I took the Pepsi Challange of the Mattress industry at Taft which helped me make my decision. Taft had a Tempurpedic Cloud under a sheet and an iMattress G6 gel infused memory foam bed also under a sheet so you could not tell what you were laying on. The iMattress felt so much more comfortable and it was $1000 less than the Cloud. It was a no brainer and I had it within 3 days. I also got a great deal on pillows as our pillows were shot and we desperately needed them.
Taft will rob you blind – abso-fuking-lootly the worst furniture store in NYS these ppl will rob you blind advertising "up to 70% off" this is after they mark up the sh-t 300% first. do your homework and google this place before buying anything you WILL find that this store has THE worst reputation of any furniture store going back for YEARS! their ads suk and should be a good way of knowing of how they run the place. need that new sofa? go to old brick and save yourself a major hassle. We would rather buy milk crates to sit on than give this store a dime.

Evil lurks within – Dear potential Taft Customers:
Do not enter Taft Furniture Warehouse. It is not a real business. It is a front for the House of Satan himself, full of self-indulgent, neglectful minions. If you MUST go in, do not bring your baby, as the employees WILL immediately attempt to eat it for sustenance. Seriously, there are strange things happening there. I pulled into the parking lot last week to make a quick phone call, and now my girlfriend is 8 months pregnant, and I have this insatiable urge to smoke Meth and abuse women.Which is weird because I'm not even into NASCAR.
Anyways, I paid extra for a 5-year warranty that not one, but two, of their highly qualified employees (Doug & Katie) promised would cover me. It isn't that I expect a warranty to cover every conceivable bit of damage one might encounter with furniture, I'm not that naive. However, I asked them both very specifically if it would cover pet-chewing damage. They each assured me that I could rest easily with my wily pup's anxiety chewing.
So naturally, 2 years later, my bed frame and mattress get chewed up a bit. I decide to call and utilize the protection plan service that I paid for. They cannot help me. I am SOL. Both the Service rep at the warehouse and the Like New Furniture rep were completely unreceptive to my problem. They talked to me like I was inconveniencing them with my phone call, as if they were actually busy assisting other customers in the store. There's no way that was the case, because Taft Policy explicitly states that Friday is "Necromancy Séance Day". It involves a pentagram, several candles, red robes, and a complete disregard for the needs of paying customers.
Shame on me for neglecting the fine print. In my defense, the extended warranty pamphlet I was provided says that it covers "Pet Damage*"....The little asterisk's placement is annotated at the bottom of the page explaining that " * = Some exclusions apply". These exclusions, as it was explained to me by a representative recently, include EVERY POSSIBLE INCIDENT OF PET DAMAGE, except for urine stains.
From now on all of my furniture will come from Craigslist. Somehow I trust it more.
I am now considering urinating on the chewed up bed frame to see if I can get them to provide the service I've paid for but am being so adamantly denied.
Dear Taft Furniture,
Please burn in hell. I would've gotten better customer service in the particle board furniture isle at K-Mart. May your sons grow to sell Crack, and your daughters grow to sell their bodies.
Poor Delivery Service! – I attempted several times to get information on my delivery of a sofa for Saturday - I left two phone messages with their office and even left a message with their manager. No one contacted me back over the several days. Now they say that the sofa will arrive sometime on Saturday and that they can not narrow that down at all. I placed this order well in advance and the delivery charge is rather steep. It seems to me that they should have the courtesy to give the customer a timeframe so that they don't have to reserve the entire day for waiting on furniture. Learn from my error and buy elsewhere - they are all about giving you good customer service up until you pay - after that they could care less.
Great Store – Great variety of things to pick from. looked all over and finally found what i was looking for there. Sales people were very friendly not pushy.
