MmmMmm Great! – I went to the Bayou about 8 years ago and never have stopped since! I find myself craving their cajun jambalya, perfectly seasoned, all the time. I also dig their fajitas that come out sizzlin'! Their salads that come in a big tortilla bowl are also to die for. The service is always prompt, and the feeling is comfortable and fun! I continue to go here with my friends and family year after year...
Once you get to this quintessential rural roadhouse, you'll find it quite easy to put any travel worries you experience behind you. – The Scene:
The Bayou Cafe is a bit of a haul from Albany, so you've kinda got to be planning to go there to actually get there, and you may have problems of a different sort when it's time to go home, of course. But you won't want to think about that as you're choosing from an exquisite and affordable selection of down-home Cajun fare, which can be washed down with any number of tasty beers. Decor is great for those who like to stare thoughtfully into middle-distance, since the room is awash with sports-themed props and eye candy that can keep your subconscious mind occupied while your mouth just eats and talks and drinks on its own. Or sings, even, with one of the popular blues and rock acts that regularly play here. But call a cab when they're done, y'hear?
Samuel Adams Triple Bock, Wizards Winter Ale.
