Went to this place because of the editorial description-BAD CHOICE.VERY disappointed. Don't know where the editorial description came from: but no coffeemaker; dryer; iron: etc.Has anyone ever been there that wrote that? A sign at door of office –“ring if wanting a room” -rang doorbell–went in to a very musty dark area with a glass sliding window- waited for someone. First impression of room–musty–old; carpet dirty/ stained – pieced together; black marks all over the walls: No emergency instructions posted - no phone/ switchboard from 11 pm to 7 am; in case of emergency-who do you call? Bathroom – no exhaust – black spots (mold) on wall behind door- only bottom of window frosted - no blinds/curtains-hung threadbare towel up for privacy; no hooks or area to hang clothes etc; no electrical outlet; hot water was slow in coming- scalding when it did come. Outside lighting (door & parking lot) apparently turned off sometime during night- got up at 4:30 am – completely dark outside. I could have tripped over the broken plastic chair & other stuff laying in the tall weeds. Charged 10.75% sales tax. Found out Oneida county sales tax is 8.75%. Nearby restaurants within walking distance– are pizza places; convenience store/gas station- market/deli – a bowling alley diner if you want to cross a four-lane highway- but wasn’t open Saturday. The Italian restaurant open after 4 pm. No vending machines - have to get ice at the dark musty sliding glass window. No place for sit-down breakfast. Nothing at motel. Found a very nice small place north on RTE 12 – about a mile or so on the right - just before Remsen- called T.A.M.’S –nothing fancy but clean; service & food excellent – family oriented and priced. This motel has nothing to do with the “website” listed on this site...don’t know why it shows it is. Conclusion–if you have the time; gas; and money-go south to Utica or north to Boonville- I paid 85.00/ night for this place- wouldn’t do it again.
Pros: can't think of any
Cons: where do I begin
