I dont know what this citysearch site is, but as the owner of the one and only original Riverside Review, I can vouch that none of these alleged tips on this phony fraudulant website have anything to do with the original newspaper serving northwest Buffalo since 1923.
I agree with a lot of what momica818 was saying about JT and his non suspension or better yet non expeltion. He is a very out of control and disturbed kid! He has a very serious anger management problem and if he does not receive professional help I am certain he will end up in prison some day soon. My family had dealings with him and his anger first hand. It shocks me he was allowed to have any part of the Riverrock League after the incident with the umpire. So much for Riverrock's zero tolerance policy! I'm all for a league helping out a troubled kid, but not a dangerous kid like him at the risk and safety of all the other kids, parents, fans, umpires, etc. Attacking the umpire is just the tip of the iceburg with this kid. I've seen JT's anger numerous times. It will unfortunitly take somebody either being hospitalized or god forbid even worse before this kid gets the help or incarseration he needs. Where are the parents in all this? You cant tell me they dont see this anger at home or at the diamonds for that matter. Their answer to getting him help is expose him to a baseball league to "keep him out of trouble" you gotta be kidding me!!! You dont take a mentally troubled kid and put him in a baseball league thinking this will cure him. momica818 I couldn,t agree with you more, the league has a duty to protect all of the people of the league not just a troubled kid that some day soon I'm sure will seriously hurt somebody. Giving him and his anger problem a free pass is enabling him. Your not helping him or the person(s) he will someday seriously hurt by ignoring the problem. I'm sure even the league is well aware he has serious anger management issues by now. Kicking him out of the league would of sent the correct message of we wont tolerate this behavior as well as send the parents of JT the urgent message that your kid needs serious help! It may have been the first step anybody took in actually saving somebodys life in the future maybe even JT's himself
Clean this up CS! – I didn't come to City Search to see two woman bitching about nonsense and to read another review that made no sense whatsoever. I am looking for the newspaper of RIVERSIDE REVIEW. City Search please clean up your comment areas.
RIVERROCK BASEBALL – Wow first of all lady my husband is the VP and before you make comments on the internet you should have your facts straight . The situation from last year where JT went after the umpire ? First of all JT is not a friend of my husbands Vinny, they never have been. Matter of fact I have been with my husband for 10 years and that situation with JT is the first time I had ever even heard of him. I know for a FACT that my husband doesnt make any favors to anyone and He was reprimanded. Yes what he did was wrong and he was sorry , he never did it again either. Sometimes our tempers get the better of us. And let me ask you , how is Riverrock at fault for what one person did? Were they supposed to read his mind and know that he was guna attack the umpire before it happened? People are people, Riverrock cannot control the choices people make . I should also mention my husband was not the only one making the decision on JT's situation , its made up of an entire hearing committee of a few board members , not just one member. Bottom line is every league has issues and one situation certainly doesnt mean Riverrock is a bad place to play baseball. Their are great people parents and board members who care about the players and try to make it a great place for everyone.
Is it safe for your child to play baseball – As I sit and watch my nine year old daughter’s softball team play up at Riverside Park against the Yankees, I can’t help but worry. I feel as if I must watch for flying bullets. Black Rock Baseball opening day as the teams face off I’m sure my child is enjoying herself. Little do parents know there is a mad man ready to pounce the umpire, half way through the game he attacks. Running over little children in his wrath and hurting those in the way. We were told this young man would be reprimanded and not be at any further games. LIE twice we have played the Yankees and there he stands coaching first base runners. I become aware this is due to a friendly relationship this young man has with the vice president of the black rock baseball league. How reassuring that my child and the other children on the team won’t witness another attack is that? As much as my children love baseball I will surely think twice about signing them up in this league again. Thankfully there are other options. I feel as if my mind has been made up at this point as again I am sitting with my family watching my daughter play and a screaming match breaks out along side our team’s dugout. A mother comes with approximately 8 or nine other young women to confront our team mom about issues unrelated to softball. Profanity every where, as these young bi-standards watch with fear. Before the situation escalated the vice president of the league was the umpire of the game and handled the situation as best he could and thankful moved these irate women on their way. I know of two parents whom called Buffalo police during this ordeal and with no surprise not one officer made an appearance. Two patrol cars drove by and not once looked over either. This is a shame considering the police station is two seconds from the diamonds. I guess young children are not important enough to protect these days. I sign my children up to play ball and now I take them to games in fear for their safety. It’s obvious our neighborhood is not as it use to be. Children have no respect for anyone and quite clear either do their parents. There is a time and place for everything, not at a baseball game with witnesses of many ages. However someone starting a fight at a child’s baseball game must be ignorant and have little respect for themselves. Id like Thank the Black Rock baseball association and the Buffalo police department for their efforts in keeping our children safe. I strongly urge other parents wanting to sign their children up for baseball to look at other leagues and options before you put the safety of your child in the hands of the Black Rock league and the dependence of safety to our Buffalo police department. You will surely be disappointed.
I heard Riverside held out... – We heard that there was a big group of survivors gathering at Riverside for one of the biggest attractions America had to offer. Myself, and three other survivors, began our trek by going through a subway tunnel, and eventually making our way to a very small town. Did I mention how much I hate small towns? On our way there, we seen a poor young lady crying in the middle of the street. One of my comrades went up to comfort her, and we discovered it was Lindsay Lohan. Before there was time to react, we knew she was going into one of her moods. We opened fire with our weapons just as she started screaming in anger, nails that were filthy and never cut about to lash out at us. Fortunately, Lindsay was taken down, but she was the least of our worries. K-Fed, obviously doesn't know how to keep his tongue to himself, attempted to get in with my female comrade, Zoey. He constricted her with his wickedness and began to feel her up with his tongue. She was in a great amount of pain, but I unloaded a bullet through his jaw, and the cigarette in his mouth had fallen out. All that could be smelled was cigarette smoke, as we coughed and hacked our way through the town. Without much of a warning, we heard someone throwing up in the bathroom, and decided to check and see if she was alright. Oprah Winfrey was in there, obviously dieting, and she accidentally threw up on the four of us. Not only was she reckless, but she was also stupid. She ran out into the kitchen after dieting, ate a bunch of sweets and chocolate, and exploded into pieces. We thought it was almost over after we got to the boathouse and called for a rescue boat. Looks like Riverside hadn't held out at all, there weren't any survivors, or amazing attractions. President Bush lied to us, again... for the fifth time. We heard stomping outside, quakes so mighty they shook the earth. There he stood, Rocky Balboa, about seven feet tall. He was fu*king jacked. There was no way we would've stopped him, and he had almost killed one of my comrades before he stepped on a Botox needle and had an over-dose. Lucky for my injured comrade, he yelled, "Pills here!" and applied the pain pills to himself, to fight through the pain. The boat arrived, and we departed. Never go to Riverside. There's no attractions there, and there's certainly no survivors.
