All I know is the sales dept was great, but the service dept was my worst nightmare. I will make it a point to tell everyone I know what a joke the service dept is. Truly thought i was going to go into cardiac arrest!!! Better stop now because I can feel myself getting upset. Oh, and by the way my new Jenn air double oven and whirlpool dryer is still not working . I had them installed 2 months ago. I do want to add that the actual technicians were very nice and pleasant, and knowledgeable but that's not worth anything when the rest of the dept is very poorly rated and incompetent and really, really don't care.
GOT HOSED BY ORVILLES--This is review on all Orville Appliance stores and other stores that carry appliances made by Whilpool, Matag, Fridgidaire, Amana, Kitchen Aid, LG and others... I purchased 4 major appliances from Orvilles on Bailey Ave, Amherst.NY, and everyone fell apart and or failed within a year. I also purchased some with extended warantees. These appliances are now made in China, Mexico, Taiwan, etc they are not made very well. My Whirlpool Microwave handle fell off, they had to replace the whole door at a cost of $190, the Frdgidaire, cheap plastic drawer cracked in half,the appliances are made to last a year or two. Orvilles and the rest are all about selling this junk, service is lousy, and they try to deliver defective appliances to you, ***but remember "do not" accept it into your home or you "own it", always check it out at the curb,they have to take it back if it is defective. Dont pay top dollar for this crap, buy better for a bit more, and less "Buyers Remorse" Buyer Beware!!!
Horrible customer service! – If you purchase an appliance with an extended warranty from Orville don't expect timely service/repair. My husband and I have been calling for 2 weeks to try and get our stove fixed. We either get voicemail with no returned call or they have us call another company they use to get info and then don't hear from them to schedule the appointment. After several calls this week, I finally have an appointment scheduled. NOT impressed with them and doubtful I'd consider using them for future appliance purchases
Knowledeable and Friendly – Orville's is a company I trust and the sales people are knwledeable and friendly.
Bought 6 Appliances – Back in Septemeber we purchased 6 new appliances, and could not have been more pleased. Our salesman Mike was excellent. We came to the store on 3 scouting trips before we made our purchase. Mike's knowledge about the appliances, guidence and patience to help us understand the options helped us make great selections.
Over the past 30 years we have purchased various appliances from Orville's and much of the reason we stay so loyal is because of the professional guidence from the sales team.
DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CLOWNS – AFTER DELIVERING A REFRIGERATOR TO MY HOUSE THE FRIDGE PROCEEDED TO LEAK ALL OVER MY FLOOR, FROM THE INSIDE OF THE FRIDGE, NOT THE WATER LINE. DAMAGED BRAND NEW KITCHEN CABINETS. SERVICE TECH CAME OUT SAID IT COULD NOT BE FIXED. WHEN REMOVING THE JUNK FRIDGE FROM MY KITCHEN THEY PROCEEDED TO BREAK ONE OF THE CERAMIC TILES ON MY BRAND NEW KITCHEN FLOOR. THESE GUYS ARE CLOWNS. THE STORE MANAGER ACTUALLY TOLD ME NOT TO GIVE HIM A HARD TIME AFTER THE WRECKING CREW DID ALL THIS DAMAGE TO MY KITCHEN. SCREW THESE GUYS GO TO BEST BUY OR SEARS, CHEARPER PRICES AND BETTER PRODUCTS. I WOULD ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO BOYCOTT THESE UNPROFESSIONAL HACKS. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE BUYING ANYTHING. SOMEONE SHOULD CLOSE THIS MICKEYMOUSE OUTFIT DOWN, THEY ARE WORTHLESS.
Orville's needs to be retrained on customer service – Once again extremely disappointed with the "after the sale" service. Purchased frige, stove and microwave from them about 2 years ago. Microwave has broken twice since purchase. Both times waited for atleast 3 weeks until the repairs were made. One of them during the holidays no less. Just purchased a front load washer from them 9 months ago. Washer doesn't drain the water anymore. Now my clothes are sitting in cold, dirty water. Called 1st thing this morning to place a work order, was advised that the computers were down and someone would call me back. It is now 6:30 pm, still no call back!! The customer service team at Orville's is AWFUL!! If you're lucky enough to get a person who is willing to help, lucky you. But be prepared to wait for weeks before you see any results. In the future, I'd rather pay the extra money and go where the 'customer comes first". Once Orvile's gets your sale, they could care less about their products, especially if they break down/need repair!! Prices might be lower than most, but you do pay for it in the long run!! Best of luck if you buy something from them!
I BOUGHT ALL NEW KITCHEN APPLIANCES A COUPLE YEARS AGO.
I WAS NOT INFORMED BY THE SALE STAFF THAT THE DISCHWASCHER I PURCHESED WAS A DISCONTINED ITEM WHICH DROPPED ? PRICE LESS THAN A COUPLE MONTHS LATER. THE NEW ONE WAS ALREADY IN THE STORES, UNFORTUNATELLY NOT ON THE FLOOR AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE.
ORVILLE STAFF SOLD ME A DISCONTINED ITEM FOR A FULL PRICE.
THAT IS A DECEITFUL WAY TO DO THE BUISSNESS. CONGRATULATION!!!
DESPITE OUR CONSTNAT PROBLEMS AND HOURS OF WAITING FOR THE SERVICE (9am-4pm) WHICH NEVER STAYED TO THE END OF THE WASHING CYCLE, COULD THEY EITHER DIAGNOS OR REPAIR OUR PROBLEM WITH DISCHWASHER. I AM STACK WITH THE POOR OPERATING DISCHWASCHER WHICH COST ME $1100.
THE SALE PEOPLE ON THE FLOOR ARE NOT INFORMED ABOUT THE LATEST NEWCOMMERS AND ONLY BECAUSE OF MY OWN REASEARCH ONLINE I WAS ABLE TO INFORMED THEM THAT THE ITEM I WAS LOOKING FOR WAS COMING TO THE STORE FOLLOWING MONTH.
CURRENTLY I HAVE EXPIERINCED A PROBLEM WITH MY SPEED OVEN AND I AM GETTING THE GOOSE BUMPS THINKING ABOUT THE SERVICE, THE COST INVOLVED, AND THE TIME WAISTED.
IT IS PROBABLY MUCH CHEEPER TO BUY A NEW ONE RATHER THAN PAY HUNDREDS OF $$$$ FOR THE POOR SERVICE AND ADDING TO THE COST OF A NEW ONE.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – Bought my dishwasher and washer and dryer from Orvilles. All is fine until you ask them to do something that would cost them nothing , except to pick up the phone and order you some parts.You see my friends 3 1/2 year washer broke. To do him a favor i stopped over and troubleshot the machine for him. We took pictures of the parts and sent them by internet to the Maytag Customer Service People. And they told him thats no problam at all. We will cover this. $300 plus in parts under Warrenty. But you must call where you bought the machine and they know how to get the parts from us. I said ok. So i called Orvilles. At first i talked to Pat. He said sounds fine I see no problam in this. So i said my buddy has the part numbers is one of your guys in they should know what im talking about.. Well Pat said you do know that there will be a price of 99 Dollars for labor. Well thats fine if i decide to have you guys put the new parts in thats ok. 1/2 hour later my friend gets a call by a man named Jeff. Well Jeff says you must first have us come out and look at it, thats 99 dollars. Then its a minimum of 200 dollars depending on what we run into. Well he said thats ok my buddy is a certified technition. We will pay the shipping if you would just get the parts that would be fine. But then thats where every thing stopped, Jeff was not the friendly service Guy anymore. What Pat told me no longer was valid. Because if i didn't let the ORVILLES, lonely MAYTAG repaiman do the work they no longer were going to cooperate with me. Sorry Sir, but if we can't fix your washer, then we are not going to get the parts that you have been granted on Warrenty. So i guess my friend said something like the 24 appliences that our family has bought in the last 40 years. No more, running out of room here but Best Buy, when i had trouble with my 52 inch HD TV . Did not have to ask for anything they asked again they asked the customer what can we do for you sir.!! THATS SERVICE!!!
