We stayed here for a few days as we explored the local area - Mono Lake, Mammoth Mountain, Devils Postpile, Bodie Ghost town and of course Yosemite's Toulomne meadows (seasonal). This is a no frills room - no TV, no air conditioning and a shared bathroom, which seemed at first like a drawback, but after getting used to being without my typical diversions, I found myself enjoying myself more than I would have with those things. The place is surrounded with beautiful gardens full of flowers, hummingbirds and other tweeting creatures inviting you to relax and enjoy. Locals gather for coffee and small talk as visitors peruse the web on their laptops - (free Wi - FI). Guests can relax in the courtyard, read, share a great Latte and step back to a time when life was simpler and stress free. By the end of our stay I was really glad to have visited and can't wait to return with more friends. Whenever I need a local place to stay this will be it !
