BEWARE! NOT WORTH THE PRICES AND GROUPON!
I have really tried to make it work with this place. I purchased a groupon for three gel manicures. At first it took over a week of calling each day to schedule an appointment. I left messages each day and received no return calls. After a week of trying to catch someone, I did and I went in for my first gel manicure.
The manicure didn't have any cuticle cutting, lotion, or hand massage. The worst part was that the gel only lasted 5 DAYS!
I figured it was worth trying again since I had the groupon. I scheduled an appointment right before Christmas. I got a call the day before saying that the manicurist could not make my appointment because her sister had a baby and she needed to go to NYC, so I rescheduled for after Christmas. I got a call again the day before my appointment canceling due to pipes bursting. With these being legitimate reasons, I once again rescheduled for yesterday at 3:30.
This time they called me the day before, but did not leave a message. I showed up to my appointment after driving 40 minutes to get there. The salon was locked, so I waited in the freezing cold for 15 minutes. At 3:40, no one showed up and I left very frustrated.
Luckily Groupon has great customer service and will reimbursement for my troubles.

I recieved a groupon for my birthday for a manicure. I must say it was the best experience I ever had. Cynthia was very knowledgable with what she was doing. Plus she she advised me on what products to use to help me have a healthier nail base. I am happy to had such an experience at Villa Giovana. Thank you!
Fantastic Facial! My fiancee wanted us to get facials before the wedding so she bought me a Groupon for a deluxe facial. I didn't know what to expect and felt really awkward but Cynthia really made me feel at ease. I was running late and forgot to put money in my meter. Luckily, I got a spot out front. The receptionist must have seen me arrive and forget to put money in the meter. During my service, the receptionist put her own money in my meter so I wouldn't get a ticket. I have never written a review before but I really felt like I needed to.
I got a gel manicure almost three weeks ago and it is still going strong! I am so impressed. I really appreciated that the manicurist took extra time to help me choose a color. She said they have over 70 shades! I cant wait to go back next week. I highly recommend this spa. If you want your gel manicure to last you will not be disappointed.
I got a groupon for a gel manicure for my birthday and it was off the hook! I love really bright colors and they had alot of options. I like to do one color on each nail and the manicurist could have huffed and puffed but she was so nice and had a smile the entire time. I live in West roxbury so it's a little tough to get here because I don't drive, but I will definitely try to come back!
Incredible facial and impeccable customer service!!!! I am a physician and since I am often on call, my schedule is very unpredictable. I had some free time early on a Sunday morning before the spa was open and they were very understanding and willing to accomodate me. The owner gave me an appointment at 9 am, even though the spa opens at 11am. As soon as I walked into the spa I was instantly impressed. It is very elegantly decorated and very clean. My esthetician was very well educated and I can truly say it was the best facial I ever had. They use organic products and do not reuse their implements. A collegue gave me a Groupon for a facial and I am so thankful that she did. The spa really needs to be recognized for the cleanliness and the way they go above and beyond to accomodate clients. Due to my schedule, I dont know when I will be able to be back but I wouldnt consider going anywhere else.
I never write reviews because I have just never have been "wowed" enough to bother. These girls are so sweet. I have really sensitive skin and I was looking for a new cleanser and moisturizer so I would go into random salons. Not only was Cynthia extremely knowledgeable about the products and ingredients, she gave me a little sample of each so I could try them first. I went back today and bought both of them because my skin responded really well. The fact that she took time to actually educate me and help me was awesome. Great customer service. I think I'm going to go in and try a facial!
GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! I WENT IN FOR AN AROMATHERAPY WRAP. THE SERVICE WAS AWSOME.THE WOMAN WHO PROVIDED MY SERVICE WAS VERY EXPERIENCED AND FRIENDLY..I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SPA TO ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A DAY OF RELAXATION! OVERALL THE SERVICE WAS GREAT!!!
I don't typically post negative reviews because I think everyone is allowed to have a bad day, but this went beyond a bad day. I bought a groupon for a massage with an aromatherapy wrap and I was very excited to make my appointment. I left several messages before finally speaking to someone (no one called me back, I had to keep calling them) and I was finally able to make an appointment. The day I was scheduled it snowed so my appointment was understandly cancelled. I was rescheduled for a few weeks later and the day before my appointment I received a voicemail saying their pipes froze so my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I had to call them back several times to reschedule my appointment for another week and a half later. Once again the day before my appointment I got a voicemail saying my appointment for a gel manicure needed to be cancelled because the nail technician was sick. I called and asked if perhaps they called the wrong person because I was scheduled for a massage and they said the same person does the nails and massages so they just said the wrong thing on the phone. She said she would call me back to reschedule when she knew when the woman would be back in and a week later I had not relieved a call so I called them. I asked if I should just ask groupon for my money back and the woman I spoke to said no and offered me a free express facial while I was in the aromatherapy wrap to make up for all the cancelations. I said okay and we rescheduled. Last Saturday I was supposed to finally have my massage so I got there 10 minutes early and waited and waited and no one ever showed up. Another customer finally arrived and she had someone's home phone number and called and I was able to speak to the woman and she said she had called and left me a message saying they needed to cancel because of the weather. The weather was cold and predicted snow for 3pm and my appointment was at 10am! She told me she would call to reschedule. It is a week later and they have not called. Luckily groupon has excellent customer service and has refunded my money. Don't waste your time with this place. Worst customer service ever! With all these cancellations I am not sure how they even stay open.
Great spray tan! It's not streaky or orange at all. It's done by an actual person and not a machine so it's even. I love my glow and can't wait to try out more services.
