A neighborhood gem!. Locally owned and operated. A refreshing change of pace from the chain restaurant culture. The value is evident in the menu selections and quality of ingredients. Salads are included with all entrees - not an add-on!

Yes it does get busy on some nights (i.e. Friday) but thats to be expected - big plus here is that there is never an hour to wait just for a seat! We love the spicy bowties and eggplant riccotta. Very reasonably priced and everything is made to order - the love goes into every dish! Outstanding bread pudding for dessert.

some pluses some minuses. Good food, friendly staff, family atmosphere, about 15-20% more expensive than it should be and kitchen is not staffed for above average volume service: pizza order took 50 minutes on Fri nite, which is apparently not THAT much slower than weeknites. Cult destination for some locals, so do check it out before you write it off due to the wait. Consider take out order first.

I love this place. Mama Z's has some extremely good pizza as well as good pastas and sandwiches. The staff is friendly and attentive. The price is a little on the high side, but its worth it for the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the wait staff. We're really fond of their sausage pizza/strombolis. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice too.

Always a pleasure!. This restaurant is exactly what Powell needs. Quaint, comfortable, outstanding atmosphere, superb food, friendly staff and retail wine sales. Our family always enjoys our visit with Mama!

The Lasagna is out of this world and the Martinis are the best of the best! The kids love the spaghetti and the pizza. We are so pleased to discover an owner operated restaurant where the care and attention to detail are evident. Thank you Mama Z - we love your food and drink!
