I will start by saying- that I have NEVER in my life been so embarrassed or ashamed of a floral arrangement sent to a grieving colleague.
I ordered a 'beautiful' arrangement of sunflowers to be sent to the receiving/viewing of a colleagues father. They were supposed to be warm, inviting and hopefully add some happiness to an otherwise sad event. When I arrived last night at the viewing, I was curious to see how beautiful the flowers were. What I saw, was so shameful, I wanted to remove the card so that our colleague didn't know they had been sent from us.
After calling the florist this morning and making her aware of how disappointed I was in the floral arrangement that they provided, not only was she RUDE to me on the phone (much like when I was ordering the flowers) but she changed her story up at first saying that she had personally made the arrangement, and then she blamed the new girl for the terribly ugly and screwed up arrangement. She said she would make note of it and adjust the bill accordingly (which I NEVER even received a copy of), to which I told her to send the nicest, biggest, and most expensive arrangement over to my colleagues house at no charge to us. We will see if this even happens.
I also called FTD (the bouquet that I ordered was one of theirs) and asked FTD to remove this vendor from their company. This vendor is giving FTD a bad name, and having ordered through them directly before, I don't want to hinder their business at all. The woman at FTD assured me that they would be looking into this matter.
Save your money and your embarrassment and use a different florist. I wish I would have checked their reviews before calling them. I would never be in the position I am now, fuming and furious, if I had thought ahead. (Shame on me!)
Take your business elsewhere! – I cannot agree the previous review more!! The owner is extremely rude. When I called recently to tell her that I received a ticket on my door stating that a delivery attempt was made and wondered why they didn't leave it by my front door (covered porch) like other florists have done, she suggested I come pick it up and then told me she would be there for 20 more min. When I said that it was a gift and I was sure the person sending it expected it to be delivered she started raising her voice and said it was my fault for not calling first thing the morning. Custmer service is dead at Westerville Florist. I'm sure you can find someone who would appreciate the business!
The rudest owner ever! – I love to support locally owned businesses. So I visited Westerville Florist and will never visit them again. I would rather use 1-800-flowers. I don't mind paying a little more for great customer service, but when the owner is rude and you know you can get it cheaper online...my advice..get it cheaper online.
I walked in and waited several minutes before someone even came out to talk to me and when someone finally did come out to greet me, which I found out was the owner, she made me feel like I was wasting her time because she was busy as she stated.
Maybe next time I will check out Flowerama, which is just 1 mile down the road.
