If your hip cool if not they will stare at you – Yeah Rubys looks nice . it has a good atmosphere in the daytime pre show. The sound is good , better than bernies and not to much frat boy action , unless you count the house next door. The place i a IN kinda place where band might get booked but unless you are in the secret cicles of hiness in columbus no one is coming to see you. examle somehow the andy Shaw band networked and promoted their way into this circle ( All those people in his band no wonder) and became some sort of icon for Columbus music (???) and it all happens here ( some exception at a couple of other bars) and the bar will welcome you at fist ecspeacily if you are a prety lady ( like me dark hair skinny dress tats)

but if you arnt hip look out they will smell it on you righ over their PBRs and imported lager in a second. most people dont seem to ome here for the music , that if you gie it a chance migh discover something outside of the Dead tribute knock offs or even the Andy Shaw band but mostly they come here to be seen here at the bands gig. The bathrooms n the bottom make a lady fel nervous when your down there with a button p shirt and jeand hipster male or hard core drugged out hippie/punk kid starring at your chest. This is yeat another place where alot of the clients are to cool to pay or wacth the talent becasue there is cable tv on the patio and smoking. 2 stars my quest for local original music continues in Columbus good look kids

Goodbye, Mick Jagger: local jam bands noodle into the stratosphere at this rustic campus joint. – The scene
Close to campus but far from the clatter, Ruby Tuesday's is one in a number of neighborhood bars on quieter Summit Street. On a lazy summer night, you'll find the doors open wide and the porch full. The all-wood interior is decorated with antique darts and a pool table, and there's a slightly elevated stage in one of the rooms. Ruby's draws a roots-rock crowd, and there's a good selection of imports, microbrews, and Guinness on draught.

The sound

Granola meets grunge? Ekoostik Hookah earned their chops here with a weekly run in the early 90's, and locals carry on the grassroots legacy, playing most Sunday nights. Indie and punk acts play infrequently, but with a solid sound system and a nice layout, it's a shame the bar doesn't book more touring bands.
