The real attractions at this hands-on museum are the workshops for adults and children. – Exhibits and Summer Camp
The Ohio Designer Craftsmen operate the Ohio Craft Museum in Grandview Heights, just west of downtown Columbus. Exhibits at the museum range from art quilts to figurative clay sculpture to Romanian crafts. It even offers the Young Masters two-week art program, which is a great summer camp for kids.
Hand-in-Hand is a creative art experience during which all ages can learn how to make clay tiles, ceramic candle holders, baskets, kites and glass beads. Craftview Nights are adult mini-workshops where refreshments and a cash bar are combined with crash courses in raku pottery, cast silver jewelry, found-object masks and stained-glass sun-catchers. It's a make-it-and-take-it-home interactive art experience, and a good place to meet other colorful people.
