I love this place! – I love this place. Its a blessing to have a place close to home with good herbals.
One of Columbus Best kept secrets. – There are hardly any places in any city that give such a unique combination of products as I have seen in this store. I have seen people come into the store and rave about this place. Where else can you find dozens of massage tools, and an array of such different products like neti pots, color therapy glasses, hang up side down machines, those mini trampolines, and even a sauna. They have many different raw food snacks, books on all sorts of health products, and they have herbs and supplements that you can't find even in your other health food stores. This store is one of the most unique health food stores I have ever been in. And I have been in hundreds in different cities. Columbus should be proud to have such a unique store here. I really would say it is probably one of Columbus best kept secrets. And the place is very neat. Check it out, next time you are in Clintonville, They are open 7 days a week.
Unique Health and Wellness Store – My experience at Momentum98 was completely different. The other reviewers must have gone on a bad day. I went during an open house which I think happens monthly. I got a free chair massage by a great massage therapist I think his name was Tony. There was also a lady giving out homemade raw truffles which were divine. The employees were very helpful and informative helping me find the right products for my needs and had great discounts on many items. I love the interesting variety of different things that you can't find anywhere else I've found great unique gift items. I've been back twice since then and have each time enjoyed my experience and will return again.
Do Not Recommend! – I would have to agree with the previous poster... I did not have a good impression of this store in general.
I have gone there a few times, but was disappointed by the low standards and disorder of it all. Although they have a lot of items, many of them are not in new condition and were just plain dirty.
The isles were cluttered with bins of dirty and damaged products, and was shocked to see they were being restocked back on the shelves. For example, I was looking at the detox foot patches to buy for my mother-in-law, but the only ones they had were in ripped and crushed boxes. I don't know about anyone else, but if I'm going to pay for a new item, I expect it to be NEW... not broken and dirty (and they weren't discounted or anything).
The only saving grace of my experiences was the girl that worked the register (I think her name was Angie). She was extremely knowledgable and helpful with my questions and knew exactly what I needed (not to mention apologetic and a bit embarassed about the stores appearance). But unfortunately, the supplements that I was looking for, were expired! The only time I went back after that was only for some nutritional advice.
I hope this helps others who might make a trip to visit this store... don't expect much. They seem to have pretty low standards, and from what I understand, Angie no longer works there.
if you want to see some different viewpoints, go to:
yelp dot com, or do a search on google for momentum98, and check out the yelp dot com biz website. Some of those reviews are rather incredible in their praise
The store is actually very beautiful. This review was a long time ago anyway. I would recommend this person go to the store, and then write her comments about her/his impressions.
Creepy Pushy Owner Who Sells Bogus Pricey Products – A while back I went in for some supplements and just wanted to pay cash... Well I guess it was the owner was very pushy about needing my personal information so I had to make it up... then he wanted to use some weird massager on my back which was totally creepy... then he was going on and on about some $70 piece of plastic that you put in water to make it better somehow (Im somewhat knowing of biology and his explaination was total nonsense)... overall I was very uncomfortable.... I have had better experiences shopping for cars or getting dental work done... I will NEVER go back and do NOT recommend!!!
The reason they ask for information, which is totally voluntary is because it allows the store to give better service. More than once, people have left books, credit cards,, etc, and we can call them up and let them know they left their credit card, etc. Also. Lots of times, people ask for a product, and later on we find additional information that we can email them, or let them know that the product has come in the next day, etc.
Editorial Review – Massage tools and products include back-saving chairs, magnets, holistic health products, massage oils, herbals, health charts and more.
