Bob's Bar....not for Vet's – boo hoo, I forgot my I.D. on memorial day weekend. I'm a USMC combat vet, Bronze star recipient, and unmistakably over 30...let alone 21. I live not a 2 minute walk from bob's, and am a regular. God forbid I should have a beer...let alone enter their holy establishment.
If you make it past the front door.....great. Don't expect any friendliness, or consideration for being a regular/local/human being.
These fruking idiots are I.D. paranoid. Despite the REP they wish to portray, they aren't a friendly neighborhood bar. The bartender will never remember your face, let alone what you drink. And whatever asshat child they post at the front door won't let in colonel Sanders without an ID.
I don't care what they have on tap, or how cool they are. Bob's bar is an establishment of AssClowns, and NOT vet friendly.
I live across the street. If you are on your way to Bob's, ...stay of my lawn, or expect to count teeth.
fruck you Bob,
Great hole in the wall bar – Bob's is cheap and have nice bartenders. Great jukebox and pool tables and dart boards. Not trendy like downtown bars. Bob's is a great place for a casual drink with your friends.
the perfect hangout bar – Bob's place is perfect for friends, loner, or regular pool shooter/ beer drinker. The Best smoking patio equipped with plasma TV. Cool people, good looking ladies, level pool tables and cool bar staff with fair prices. Great spot on High with easy access to cabs and food for late night grub. I love the place. Plus they support 90.5 the best music on Sun. evenings. Everyone is cool and will talk if you are half normal.
Because sometimes the best bar atmosphere is no atmosphere at all. – A Celebrity Hangout
Anytime you drop by Bob's you'll see the likes of Diana Ross, Tom Selleck, Burt Reynolds and Cher. OK, so it's actually their caricatures. The absence of Britney Spears proves that while fashions change, Bob's does not.
Sports and a Bar, But Not a Sports Bar
Bob's doesn't have the usual sports bar trappings--yuppie yahoos who could care less who's playing as long as they can jump on a winning bandwagon. Bob's has the Reds on one TV, the Indians on another, and cold beer and passionate fans all around.
Smoke, Smoke, Smoke That Cigarette
Keep the grumbling about secondhand smoke to yourself because there's a cigarette machine by the entrance and ashtrays in front of every stool.
The jukebox plays mostly classic rock, when country-western would be more apropos. Somebody needs to smuggle in Vern Gosdin's "Dim Lights, Thick Smoke" and make it the official Bob's theme song.
