The Scene
One of the best shops for browsing in the Short North, Great Things is a treasure trove of unusual gifts, cards and jewelry for people with offbeat tastes. The walls and shelves are brimming with oddities as well as functional crafts from around the world. Employees are friendly and happy to tell you about the origins or meanings of the wild stuff in the shop.
The Goods
A vast selection of gargoyle reproductions dominate the front of the store, along with wrought iron frogs and other garden sculptures. As you work your way through the store, you will find picture frames, greeting cards, candles, vintage advertisement wall hangings and musical instruments from around the world.
Above and Beyond. I made a purchase and was accidently overcharged by $25.00. I left the store noticed the error and anticipated going back to the store for a credit. Much to my surprise as I checked my bank statement, they had already credited my account! Thank you for the honesty and courtesy.
