Any confusion over the specialty here? A restaurant-bar with a martini list so formidable they named the place after it.. The Scene
This former deli converted to a New York-style upscale restaurant compensates for its smallish size (it's sort of jewel-box-y, thanks to all the glass frontage) with an expansive wine list and martini menu. The place stands alone on a lot on Lakewood's tavern-heavy Madison Avenue, meaning plenty of parking and a relative degree of privacy.

The Food
The martini menu includes the Ten Grande (Tanqueray 10, Grand Marnier, pineapple and lime), the Bo Derek (Tanqueray 10 and sweet and dry vermouth,) the Bocce Ball, the Chocolate Monkey and close to 150 others. On the solid-food side, chef and owner Carolyn Leedy offers "new classic cuisine," heavy on steak and seafood, with occasional nods to chicken paprikash, curries and pasta; beef is certified Angus, and seafood is imported from Boston.
