Very disappointed in every way. Placed an order for pick up, the food was 10 minutes later then the given time. The pizza was overcooked & basically burnt. I also ordered garlic bread with cheese. Not only was I not given the extra sauce I paid for, but when I opened the bag they had placed each half cheese side down on the foil. As anyone with common sense would think, all of the cheese was then stuck to the foil instead of the bread, thus leaving me with a warm sub roll. When I called back to complain I was informed the owner had instructed workers to package the cheese bread like this, if they used a box he would yell at them, the worker also informed me they have received numerous complaints about this same issue, yet the owner refuses to change anything. Poor example of what I've come to expect & experience with Ohio City business owners. I will never order from here again since I have no interest in supporting a local business that treats its customers like this. I highly discourage you from supporting him either.
this place is go to for great pizza! – Ohio city pizzeria is a refreshing change of tempo from all of those ridiculous chains. Whenever my family visits they demand pizza from here. Service is on time and prices are reasonable. Unlike Edisons, which also has great pizza, the food quality is more consistent and timely. Love this place and am confused by all the negative reviews! Try it for yourself!
my favorite pizza – Best pizza in town.2 large tow toppings for 20 bucks! Oh yeah!!!!
By far the best - what are those other ones talking about? – We order for OC Pizza all the time - it is incredibly good pizza and they always know who we are. It comes very quickly and it always tastes fresh. I can't recommend this place enough!
Awesome Pizza, People & Service – Pretty awesome tasting pizza unless you like the "chain pizza" available everywhere else...
I've always had timely pickup or delivery.
The staff are wonderfully welcoming and will remember you!
Good luck... – All I have to say is good luck ordering, receiving, and enjoying your pizza. I've ordered from here one other time, and attempted to again today. Never again! The first time I ordered, the pizza not only took forever to get to my house (less than five miles away) but it appeared to have been dropped. The corner of the box was dented and the pizza looked more like a calzone than a pizza. When I called, the VERY rude woman that handles the phone immediately began arguing with me and telling me that I must have dropped the pizza. After several minutes of arguing, she begrudgingly agreed to replace the pizza - if I came and got it! So, after waiting for over an hour for the first delivery and getting a pizza that had been dropped, I had to go and pick up my pizza; no discount or compensation were offered. No follow up from management or anyone. I decided to call again this evening, much like the other reviewer, to offer a second chance and because of the lack of options in the area. A woman answered the phone, when asked for the "specials," she gave them to me and then put me on hold. I held for several minutes and then decided that it was not only not worth the wait and aggrevation, but thought that other Ohio City residents should know what type of service is obviously typical and should be expected.
Don't believe those reviews – Ohio city pizza is the bomb. Best pizza in town. I think the people who wrote those bad comments are from the suburbs and are all used to Donatos or something. (OR they own like a dominos! or a Donatos! corportate sabotage!!!) You won't find BBQ chicken pizza or like a thin crust mexican pizza at ohio city P- it's pretty straight forward - sauce, dough, cheese, pepperoni, sausage....... (all really yummy). The lady on the phone is always totally nice to me - but i then again I am always nice to her as well.
I feel the need to defend them because they are a small mom & pop shop that i SERIOUSLY doubt are logging onto city search to check their ratings and possibly defend themselves. Their pizza is delicious - the lady is nice. You should try it.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH OHIO CITY PIZZERIA – I CANT BELIEVE A BUSINESS WOULD OPERATE IN THE FASHION THAT OHIO CITY PIZZA DOES!
THE WOMAN WHO HANDLES THE PHONE IS UNBELIEVABLY RUDE AND THE WAIT TIME IS OUTRAGEOUS. YOU ARE BETTER OFF GETTING NUNZIOS!
Editorial Review by Christy Buena – No-frills pizza restaurant serves salads and pies prepared daily and offers take out and delivery.
No more second chances... – The first time we tried Ohio Citys pizza it was average at best. But, given the lack of options we decided to give them a second chance.
On our second attempt we waited well over an hour to receive a call that the pizza was being sent out for delivery. We are no more than 5 minutes away. The delivery person took at least 20 mins. Arrived started arguing with my husband and then left taking our pizzas with him to make his point. Apparently it was our fault he is not familiar with where the warehouse district is. Never again .
