Best comic store in Cincinnati – If you live in Cincinnati and a comic fan you're fortunate enough to have three stores in the area (among others). I see those "big three" as Queen City Comics (with two locations), Up Up & Away Comics in Cheviot (formerly Comic Book World) & Rockin Rooster. Although I don't buy comics as much as I used to, Queen City Comics in Fairfield was my best best. The staff was always very friendly whether it be comic-related or just shooting the breeze, and the store is just much bigger than the others.

Being somewhat of a collector of indie comics, I also appreciated the large wall they have dedicated to comics published by independent companies. As well with that, they have a DC/Marvel wall with all of the latest issues of the current running comes, so say if you missed the last couple of Batman issues, you can pick them up on that wall instead of thumbing through the back issues.

Speaking of back issues, that is my favorite part about the store! I often shop for back issues as much as I do new comics and Queen City's large selection of back issues is unparalleled to any comic shop I've ever visited. Typically if I can't find what I'm looking for, I know it's because someone already bought it, not because the store wasn't carrying it!

In short, go here to get your comic fix if you're in the area. It's simply unacceptable to go elsewhere with such a great store in town.

Service? – The comics are organized in a fairly coherent way. One could find comics if one spends enough time there. Service on the other hand is below average. The workers are loud and unfriendly. They worry and conduct their personal business in an obtrusive manner. Their customer service ability is virtually nil.

If you are going there, plan on finding things yourself which for some people that is OK.

At least I can see the selection... – Store is brighter than the shop on Montgomery Road by far. Comics is separated in a fairly organized manner that makes it easy enough for someone who knows what they are looking for to find. Woe to the new customer who asks for help. You will find poor service. I have actually had two of the workers argue over a question I asked in front of me. Again, this is the best out of both location, but lots more improvement is needed.
