Great Ribs, Great Service, Great Westside Establishment – Negative reviewers, say what you like...but the food and atmosphere are great, as expected at a locally owned Westside restaurant. The low key staff, interesting setting, and delicious food (low cellings and 50?s decor) create an excellent overall dinning experience. The dinner order of ribs and ribblet appetizer are phenomenal. The ribblets (very meaty) appetizer is almost as big as a half slab. The barbeque sauce is worth the visit. It is much better than the overrated Montgomery Inn. It is hard to find better ribs, burgers, and steaks at these prices. Maury's is nice casual dinning experience and a great place to start off a Cheviot bar crawl.

Since 1949, Maury's Tiny Cove in Cheviot has been serving up its steakhouse fare to a clientele consisting of a somewhat older group of locals and other neighborhood folk, including many, many smokers. Not much has changed in that time, including the decor--dark-colored carpets, red vinyl booths and wood-paneled walls. Sandwiches, chicken and seafood items are available as are all the typical steakhouse cuts.
whats not to love? – we go there at least twice a month, my food is always perfect. We always get good service and how can you not like that the owner remembers you and where you normally are seated. The staff is friendly so if I have to wait a for something while they chat with another patron thats fine with me, what they are doing is called bieng nice to another customer. The same service that I like to recieve. One sunday we arrived late eat dinner and was chatting over a drink, we looked up and found they were closed and waiting on us to leave. They never had interupted us or said a word about wanting to go home, which I'm sure they did. We said we were sorry for keeping them and they just smiled and said it was no big deal. Where else do you get treated like that?
Over Priced – Like fat on an over-priced steak? Like a small cold baked potatoe wrapped in aluminum foil? Then Maury's is your place. Also, there is a very good reason why the lights are turned way down. If you go, do not let them seat you next to the kitchen.
Huge! Tasty Steaks – I've only eaten there once and it was MANY years ago on a date, but I remember the BIGGEST steak on a plate I've ever seen! It was a whole pound done medium rare, tender. Awesome!
Aptly Named – Maury's, in places, is, indeed, "Tiny," with low ceilings. The food and employees are great. One of our favorite "once-per-month" eateries.
bulls and martinis – Paul is a fabulous Host, top notch food and drink!
A night to remember – The food was amongst the best I have ever had in the world...the atmosphere was great....the people were friendly and the service was timely!
Not worthy of rating – I think this place is way over rated. Steaks are average at best. Ambience is fine for a family restaurant, but it's cold and drafty in the winter. Typically, my food as arrived already half cooled. during the week, the service is haphazard as well. Recently, with friends, we waited 10 minutes after signalling for the check before the waitress got done with her conversation. Her compensation was commensurately low.
