“went to Todai on my birthday and this location had apparently strayed from the pack and now you had to come in on your birthday and pay full price so that you could get a coupon to come back within 3 months to get a free dinner.”
“Todai is quite disappointing if you are a sushi lover--but if you're a sushi lover, you probably know better than to try to get quality sush.”

This enormous Japanese buffet attracts a diverse crowd for all-you-can-eat sushi and tempura..
In Short
The first Todai Restaurant debuted in 1985 in Santa Monica, Calif., and has since opened in locations across the U.S. and in Hong Kong. The restaurant, with seating for up to 500 people, features a 160-foot seafood buffet offering more than 40 kinds of sushi, all made fresh. The salad selection ranges from Caesar to seaweed to red potato salad. Hot entrees include sukiyaki, teriyaki chicken, sweet-and-sour pork and udon noodles.
birthday dinner BS. Todai used to have a fun birthday dinner policy of if you came in on your birthday you could get free dinner. I went to Todai on my birthday and this location had apparently strayed from the pack and now you had to come in on your birthday and pay full price so that you could get a coupon to come back within 3 months to get a free dinner. Total BS. From a business POV, a good idea, but from someone who doesn't pig out on poor quality sushi more than once a year it was not acceptable, particularly when the policy is not company wide. I am really not into this restaurant anymore.
FOOD POISONING. I had food poisoning after having dinner at Todai at this location. The food was poorly prepared and the quality is just bad. Go to an authentic Japanese restaurant instead.
Great!.
Todai was perfect for my cousin's birthday party!!!
Everyone at our party loved the food!!!
Absolutely Terrible. The worst Japanese Food ever....so bad....It's a cafeteria of luke warm poorly prepared "Japanese" food and I use the term loosely as I don't know what that crap was...
