Disappointed – We were looking for good Greek food. We didn't find it. We read the other reviews and they sounded great; after dining at Myra's I can only say they must have been written by the employees. One of the reviews said, "Myra's is a great little place. . . if you appreciate restauranteurs who care about the food they serve."
My wife and I both ordered a gyro. The gyro is made with paper thin sliced meat that was from a gyro kit that can be purchased at most grocery stores, not a real fresh made gyro. It was served open faced on a pita and micro-waved until the pita was rubbery but the meat was barely warmed. In fact, while observing the open kitchen, it appears that most of the food is micro-waved, not prepared fresh. Evidently they don't care about the food they serve. The appeal must be for their vegan soups; we were asked several times if we were sure that we didn't want to order soup, we didn't and after trying the gyro, we're glad we didn't.
Crunchy, artsy restaurant and deli across the street from the UC's CCM. – In Short
This small eatery has dark, rough, wood-planked walls hung with a changing display of local art. Out back, the patio offers a great escape from the Corryville bustle. Vegetarians will face some tough choices, given the breadth of non-meat selections. Gado gado, a peanut-ginger sauce over brown rice served with tomatoes, cucumbers, raisins and sunflower seeds, is representative of the interesting food here. Classic Greek items including spanakopita and gyro pitas are also available.
fabulous food, great prices, perfect for vegetarians! – This is probably one of my favorite restaurants ever. The menu has so many choices and everything I've ever had here is excellent. The red beans mole is a favorite as well as the zapata pita. They offer an amazing selection of vegetarian dishes. It's a nice place if you want to try something new and get exposed to new kinds of cuisine. The prices are unbeatable!
The dining room is small and you may feel cramped. There is also a patio that is a nice retreat in this urban area. And they have a parking lot which is helpful.
Service can be a bit slow, but everyone who works there is friendly.
Myra's is a great asset to the UC area and Cincinnati as a whole because it provides unique, flavorful dishes at good prices.
LOVE LOVE LOVE – Myra's is the best place to go for a cup of coffee or for a great meal. I go all the time and the atmosphere is great. The food is the best ever and the price is awesome! Try the hummus and the greek salad...oh and the thai pumpkin soup! everything is amazing there...my favorite restaurant in cincinnati.
very balanced – Myra's is a great little place, especially if you appreciate restaurateurs who care about the food they serve. The tiny dining room and quiet patio are the perfect setting for a cup of soup, some good food and some conversation. I HIGHLY reccomend the green salsa burrito or the thai pumpkin soup. Both are great, and everything is cheap.
