What an ultra-cool salon – I am the owner of Fusion Hair,Thankyou for the 200 + Reviews. We all take a lot of pride in our profession at Fusion and strive for excellence. This review is intended to show that Fusion Hair has surpassed all it's expectations with City Search And We are all gratefull to it . Ocassionally ,We will get a negative review.I think one out of a hundred is not too bad .Even if it was from a fired disgruntelled employee who,s standards were not high enough. It is sad that people will try to ruin the party for others. But ,C'est La Vie . Our party will go on & We will continue to make Los Angeles look amazing & feel special. Love to all from The Fusion Hair team . X
I made an appointment with Jez at 9:30 am on a Friday. The salon has a great vibe itself. I arrived to my appointment a bit earlier and left and came back when Jez arrived. He is a nice person and seems sweet. I was seated first to be asked how I wanted my hair cut. I had very bad split ends and wanted to cut about 3 inches off. He understood and washed my hair and got started. At first everything was going great. Then, he dropped the comb he was using to cut my hair, wiped it on a towel, and used it on my hair again. That was not only gross, but didn't seem so professional. When he wasn't making small talk with me, he was sighing repeatedly. It made me feel very uncomfortable like I woke him up too early. After he was done cutting my hair, he went to blow drying. That was the worst part out of this whole experience. My hair was pulled constantly, my scalp felt like it was burned repeatedly, and my wet hair was tangled and clipped on top of my head and was covering my face. Many times during the blow drying, I wanted to tell Jez to stop. On top of all that, I felt like he was rushing me out of the salon because there was another customer waiting.I liked my cut but I didn' t leave feeling great like everyone else did. I spent $98 in total for an experience I didn't enjoy. As a first time customer, I'm most likely not coming back here again. Although Jez might be a great guy, my experience was horrible.
Incredible! – I can confidently say that this is the best salon in the area! Wow, it's incredible! The stylists are all very nice, and love what they do. They take their time to make sure you get what you want, and look good.
JEZ IS AMAZING! – I have always had a crazy, thick, rebellious mane of hair. I have gone to so many stylists throughout the years and no one has ever been able to figure out how to cut my hair.
The first time I went to Fusion Hair Salon, he not only knew how to thin out my hair (wow, what a relief!) but he also gave me a sexy, swanky style that I love to this day.
There is no one else I would trust with my hair. 10 years later, he is still the best in town!
Rachel is the Best – Do yourself a favor. Book an appointment with RACHEL.
She has given me the best haircuts I've ever had. Her technique is first-class. She's got a ton of experience, is patient, and makes sure every piece of hair is cut exactly right.
SHE BANGS, SHE BANGS! – No, not talking about Ricky Martin here. RACHEL RODRIGUEZ is the "go-to-girl" to get your hair cut, especially for your bangs! I have jumped around quite a lot this year to find someone who actually LISTENS and knows what she/he is doing when it comes to cutting bangs. She takes her time and is a perfectionist. Very talented. I have yet nor do I plan on going anywhere else to get my haircut! Rachel you Rock! ;)
Rachel Is The BEST!!! – Rachel rocks! As a new resident to the LA area, I had to hunt around to find a place that could cut short hair well. Went through several places, It's amazing how many people don't have experience in cutting short hair and to top it off most people want to use a round brush on short hair when there finished. Makes you look about 20 years older.... To all stylist out there put the brush down!!!!
Absolutely loved my haircut from Rachel been with her for quite awhile and wouldn't go anywhere else!!! If your looking for really updated and edgy cut she's your girl!!!
EASILY the most HIP hair salon in the LA/WeHo area! – FUSION HAIR SALON is right at the heart of lower West Hollywood, LA, Beverly Hills area, just steps away from the Beverly Center mall and nestled between TONS of cool offbeat/ designer/ vintage shops and great restaurants! I'm addicted to the peroxide, as it were, and GINO at Fusion is the only one I trust to give me the icy, bleached blonde look that I love my hair to be! (NO BRASSY YELLOW HERE, FOLKS!). Gino's attention to detail and affable personality have me hooked on seeing him every few weeks, and I'm glad he's in a salon like Fusion, where I've found myself making friends with not only the other hairdressers, but the owner (Jez) and receptionist (Lourdes) as well! This is the kind of unique salon everyone in LA really wants....they deliver the looks, but none of the attitude, and you'll find yourself looking forward to seeing some regrowth and scheduling that next appointment at Fusion Hair!
Miss Rachel Rodriguez has to be one of the most talented and exceptional stylists I have ever had the pleasure of doing my hair. Not only was she receptive to my needs (keeping my hair at a desired length), but was also very knowledgeable on what she did. I was new to the area, and in LA there are several hair stylists to choose from. At first glance, Rachel stood out to me because of her education. I have thick, coarse hair that I needed special attention. I found out that she went to the AVEDA Academy and interned at Vidal Sassoon which were very highly academy's recognized in her industry upon my own research. When she cut my hair, I noticed that she not only was confident in knowing what to do, but she also allowed my opinion to be heard. Most hair stylist do what they want or cannot understand my needs. As she began to cut my hair, I realized she read my hair like a story... could tell me what type of hair cut I received last, and what needed to be corrected while again, maintaining my needs. You can tell she was not only trained educationally, but physically as even her posture affected the haircut - very elegant and poised I might add. I later found out that she worked for Ted Gibson, Arrojo Studios in NY, on the set of "What Not To Wear" with Nick Arrojo, worked with Mariah Carey and toured with the Jonas Brothers, etc. I felt privileged to have her work on my hair. Rachel, really cares about her clients and that's how she made me feel. Sometimes I feel awkward when I sit in a chair with a stylist I am not familiar with, but Rachel was so personable and friendly. She is willing to accommodate my schedule and beauty needs . I have never found anyone in 20 years who could cut my hair to my liking. She gave me advice about all different types of hair and even things like extensions and color which I had questions about. At the time she did my hair, she used little product and no irons ... just a brush and hair dryer which looked like I straightened it myself. Truly a gifted individual.
Rachel is a Senior Stylist, which for those who are not aware like me, is at the higher end of experience of any stylist. She has worked her way up to the position through experience, assisting, and education. Going to a stylist who has the seniority experience definitely makes a difference, which for someone like me who had no knowledge in the aesthetics department, really makes you aware of what type of stylist you are going to. I have not had to go back in for a haircut in the past 2 months as Rachel cuts hair so it will last for up to 2 months. She told me that " a good hair cut she hold itself" so overall in the long run, my wallet stays healthier. She was worth every dime and no matter where I am, I will go to her. She has won my trust and loyalty. In LA, we have a lot of choices, but if you're looking for a hair stylist for any type of hair - creative, thick, ethnic, short, long, thin, or curly, Rachel Rodriguez is your girl. I promise you, you will not be let down.
RACHEL is an AMAZING addition! – I'm the kind of person who is not a fan of change. Rachel has been cutting my hair for about a year now, and when I found out she had changed salons and moved to Fusion I was apprehensive. I knew the cut would be fabulous, but I was unsure of the salon environment (and I have to like the whole package to be happy - the stylist and the salon).
Once I got there my tensions were put at ease, the staff is warm and welcoming. The environment is somewhat 80s retro, but big and spacious. And of course Rachel worked her magic as always. She hands down gives the best cuts ever, and her blow outs are awesome, full of body and shine. She is a great addition to the Fusion team!
Side Note: I just want to throw it out there, that I am African American and yes Rachel can cut some Black hair. Hands down she has taken better care of my hair than any other stylist (ethnic or not) ever has.
