My Experience at FETCH:
The employees were actually quite helpful, even though what I've read from others sounded pretty bad. I adopted a blue merle Australian shepherd, and he is laying next to me right now. He is healthy and playful and doesn't show any aggression or problems. His name is Toby, and I hope that there are no hidden health problems. If there are, I don't know what I will do, but he seems fine, as energetic and playful as a normal puppy! Sorry for anyone else who had a bad experience at FETCH, and I pray for your dog if you adopted a sickly one. I am blessed to have adopted the breed of my dreams and for him to not be sickly or aggressive. Have a blessed day, and for all the others who didn't enjoy the staff, I hope they clean up their act.
The staff was extremely helpful & friendly. Very knowledgeable & answered all our questions. We sat with one puppy for almost an hour and they were very patient with us! We fell in love and bought her - thank you for our new family member
I fell in love with the Corgi breed 17 years ago so when I lost my 2nd Girl I called the manager at the Fetch Pet Store and she gave me a choice of two girls...Crissy has been with me 3 weeks and if there is anything wrong with her I just don't see it...She wants to play play play...She's had her first vet check and the vet said I had a fine healthy corgi... I keep hearing all the horror stories about pet stores buying from puppy mills...and do you think for one minute puppy mills will stop because you don't buy a puppy from a pet store...No they won't and where do you think all those dogs in shelters come from...I'd guess they came from a puppy mill...You can buy from a breeder that you know and still can have a dog with problems... If you think a dog looked sick you should report it to the humane society and not be bullied into buying a sick animal... Fetch must be doing something right because a lot of people buy puppies from them and they have stores everywhere...If you want a show dog then go and buy a show dog and pay show dog prices...
Fetch and their employees have always provided great service. I have purchased both my dogs through Fetch and would only add to my family through Fetch.
I was in this store last weekend with my 2 teenaged daughters. They like to go in & play with the dogs. Usually I let each one pick a dog & we'll get one out at a time to play with. Well, we played with a golden retriever & my daughter took her back up & asked to see another dog. The employee said he couldn't come out to play, only if we were serious. Well, I (thinking that maybe that particular dog had been played with too much & that maybe she was just having an attitude since they were kids) went up and asked to see my daughter's 2nd choice. The RUDE B&$%* says in a snotty tone, "Well, are you with them?" I said, "Yeah, why?" & she said "Well, you can only play with 1 dog unless you are serious". I said "Well, what if i'm not sure what type of dog to get?" SO ridiculous, if I really were shopping for a dog & didn't know what I wanted, guess I'd be SOL! Guess if I didn't pick the "right" dog the 1st time, too bad! Completely ridiculous customer treatment!
Also, I had purchased a dog from this about 10 years ago. They claimed that it was an "unregistered purebred austrailian cattle dog". The vet said NO it was a mix & see didn't look like pictures of any cattle dog I'd seen. When I called the manager, they said "well, we saw both parents & they were blue heelers". What a rip off!
I can't believe this store is still in business...I won't step foot in there again!
Do not buy a dog from this pet store or any pet store. Fetch is known to sell underage and sickly puppies. They say they purchase from breeders but they do not. They buy from puppy mills and people who dogs have litters. No breeder will sell it's puppies through a pet store! These poor puppies spend up to 5 months in a cramped little cage with no love and only the basic care. They are known to have issues with failure to thrive, mental problems, aggression problems etc. Due to horrible conditions and inbreeding. Also those puppies who have been there for awhile and haven't sold. They put them on sale and if they still don't sell they say they send them back to the breeders. Don't believe it they end up in a shelter or dumped or dead. Puppy mills don't take returns!
Fetch Pet Store – This store has the worst smelling dogs ever. Those poor puppies smell aweful. It seems like every time I go in there (which isn't often at all) one of the dogs will have old dog poop caked on it's butt. Once, I was given a dog with dog poop caked on it's butt and didn't know it until I was holding it. I kept smell poop and I asked my husband where was it coming from. We kept looking around and he saw it on the dog's butt. I was disgusted and really to go. I know I wouldn't get a dog from there at all.
Dog bites me and my daughter in store – I was in the store this past Saturday (Saint Patrick's Day, 17 Mar 2012) and my daughter and I wanted to play with the English Bulldog. One of the workers brought the dog in and we began playing with it. Within a couple of minutes of playing, the dog bit my daughter's leg near her ankle. She began to run away from him, jumping onto the bench. Since this only happened over a period of a few seconds, I did not realize that the dog had bitten her; I merely thought he "nipped" (as puppies do) her. I told her just to play with him with one of the toys they had available in the stall. As I offered the play rope to him to play, he latched onto my arm and would not let go. He sunk his teeth into me, causing me to bleed. You can actually see where the shape of his mouth went on my arm. I immediately tried to pry his mouth off of me due to the pain and scooped him up, giving him back to the employee stating, "We don't want him! He bites!!" and showed him my arm. The employee responded by saying, "Yeah, he does bite".
They let this dog remain in the store, knowing he'd be around other kids?? There was no concern about my arm, the bleeding/bruising/swelling, or what the dog had done. I'm very disappointed in the staff and even more so with the store for keeping a dog that they know is not safe to be around others.
Employee Abuses Puppy at Fetch! – Today (2/13/12) my family and i went to Fetch to look at the puppies. They were not open yet so while we waited outside the store we seen an employee threw a puppy into its cage and yelled F**k you, you little bitch, F**k you. I wont be shopping there again.

Do not buy a puppy from FETCH at the Fairfield Commons Mall. Both puppies I bought, I took to the VET and the vet told me that both puppies have Tonsillitis, not to mention both were infested with fleas. I went back to FETCH and they were unwilling to help me. When I showed other people in the store my paperwork from the vet, the employees threatened to call security on me...oooo I am soooo scared. Do not buy dogs from FETCH they will more than likely be sick and if something does go wrong they will not even blink an eye to help you. Please, I fell and love with these pups and don't want to get rid of them, but they are sick and all FETCH did was call security on me. Buy from a local breeder don't buy from places that use puppy mills like FETCH does. Any lawyers reading this please contact me as I plan on pursing legal action if at all possible.
