This is the worse eye doctor experience I have ever had. The recepitionist was horrible and had the worst attitude I have ever seen. She was not helpfull when I advised her I had two insurance verfications to present to her. I thought to myself lady if you don't like your job just quit. After sitting for an hour and a half after my scheduled time I saw the eye doctor who was really quick in doing my eye exam. I then was fitted for my glasses which took another 45 mins. I told the receptionist I wanted to get contacts als when I checked in and she did not pass it to the other staff so I sat in line again for another 45 mins. Finally I got back to some special contact lens lady and went through a contact exam. I sat on a stool for another 45 mins waiting for the contacts to be tried but the lady forgot to dialate my eyes in which she said "Sorry I thought we did that already". So my eyes got dialated and I sat for another 15 mins on the stool. I tried my contacts on which did not fit because she said "we doing have your size I will have to order them and i will call you when they come in to pick them up". I said okay. I was leaving and they eye glass specialsist said we will call when your glasses come in. I said okay. I went home and sat 5 business days and finally called the doctors office back in which they said yes my glassess and contact are in. I went to the doctors office and got my glassess but they said it would be another 13 business days for my contacts. I asked the receptionist to please just call when my contacts come in which she said "Okay". I waited another 6 days and I called the doctor office back and they said "Yes they are in". I went to the doctors office to pick up the contacts and she said no I called your wife they did not come in. This was also not true she did not recieve any phone calls from the eye doctors office cause they only had my number. Finally after 4 trips to the eye doctor office and a waist of 6 hours of my time I finally got my glasses and contacts. I went home and a couple days later I put my contacts in and they were the wrong prescritption cause everything was blurry and gave me headaches. This is the last time I go to this eye doctor. This is the worst experience I have ever had going to a eye doctor and I think someone needs to look into this business and make sure they are following some kind of guidelines or procedures cause they have to be violatiing some kind of guidlines since they treat people in this kind of way. Thank you for reading this long novel but I just want to make sure my point gets across because I don't want people waisting their valuable time or money.

Thanks again,

Newcastle Family Clinic – I find this clinic exactly what the name says it is "Family Clinic". My husband, children, and I all are patients of Dr Schoelen(i think we have seen Dr. Pope a couple of times). Christy's smiling face is the first thing you see when you walk in the door, she is always, personable, friendly, but also professional. Most of the staff is just amazing. You have to understand we live in a different era, these women and men, spend their days, in a very stressful atmosphere, with people wanting meds constantly, and the health care laws changing constantly, and they have to adapt and still give the best service possible. I am proud to say this is who I trust my families medical care to, and Dr. Schoelen and the whole staff are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you guys for how much you Care!

The nurses and reception are lazy and disrespectful – The doctors are great. My only complaint is with the staff. They are lazy and disrespectful. They make mistakes often. I once got a bill sent to me that was for another patient. The nurse is often rude and unsympathetic toward the patients. Again, the doctors at this clinic are professional. Unfortunately, from my experiences with the staff, I will no longer continue using this clinic. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

dr schoelen – I have been seeing Dr. Schoelen for over 6 years..If it wasnt for him I would be unable to walk and function on a daily basis..I live with horrible pain daily..I find Dr.schoelen to be stern but caring...This recent incident happened on his own personal time and has nothing to do with his work..And should be addressed as personal time not work..NOBODY is perfect..We all make mistakes..So judge not least ye be judged...Dr.Schoelen, I appreciate everything you have done to help me over the years..I stand behind you 100 percent..There are people who love the DR. and people who hate him...The ones who hate him are the ones who didnt follow the rules..I will keep him in my prayers and I wish him the very best of luck through his trials & tribulations..Once again I would like to thank Dr. Schoelen for caring enough to help..

Medical Care – Dr. Pope was my doctor for a long time & I really loved seeing him. He listened, spent time with me, & really cared. I have nothing against him whatsoever. However, one day after my office visit with him, when my mother & I were walking out to the car to leave, we saw a baggie with a couple of syringes in them that appeared to have something in them. I didn't want for a child to pick them up & maybe get pricked with them or something happen, not knowing the contents, so I carried the baggie inside the office & gave them to Barbara at the front desk so that she could dispose of them properly. Two days later, Dr. Schoelen called me early in the morning, literally screaming at me, wanting to know what the f*** I was doing by doing drugs in his parking lot. Those were his words. As I tried to explain to him the circumstances, he only continued screaming at me. I reminded him that other people could hear him along with what he was saying to me, & that he was violating the HIPAA regulations by allowing others to hear the conversation. As a result of all of this, I was dropped as a patient of the clinic & could no longer see Dr. Pope, even though Dr. Pope did not himself make this decision & I had in fact done nothing wrong. I was only doing what I thought to be the right thing, the thing which I felt obligated to do out of fear for safety of others, & even though my mother was there to verify everything, I was not listened to & was persecuted for this. As a result, I have quite negative feelings towards Dr. Schoelen, but I would still like to have Dr. Pope as my physician.

I would like to say everyone is entitled to there own opinions. My family have been going to see Dr. Schoelen for about 2 years now he has always taken the time if needed to be. We really like him we live in Midwest City and we make the drive to see him . He's a good doctor The staff are nice its clean and you don't have to wait 2 hours to be seen. Highly Recommend Dr Schoelen!

Find somewhere else, or another doctor. – My family have been patients of Dr. Scho~ (I can't ever spell his name correctly) for the past 10 years. He is a very nice person, but he is VERY quick to write a prescription. Over the years he has gotten very lazy and lax with his job. The actual doctor visits became shorter and shorter. It seemed as if I would come in, open my mouth, and out would come the prescription pad. I came in once to talk about possible ADD. He put me on the MAXIMUM dosage of Adderall without even asking a question. Then on my next refill he said to take it twice a day, without even wanting to talk to me about the medication. I would NOT go and see this doctor. Unless you're just wanting some quick pills, find someone else. He's NOT thorough at all.

My mother recently discovered a lump on her Thyroid gland. It was VERY hard and large. He just gave her antibiotics. WHAT kind of doctor would do that? No further testing at all. Nothing. She called to reschedule because the antibiotics didn't help and he had decided to drop her. The last missed appointment was 6 months ago.

His license has already been suspended once, this man does not need to be practicing medicine.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST – I have traveled all over the world, I have seen Doctors all over the world. I currently spend 90%

of my time in Costa Rica, and have for several years. I make it a point to come home to Oklahoma

for all my yearly exam. A big plus for me is that you do not wait in the lobby for hours to see

the doctor. It is usually within 15/20 minutes of appointment time.

Dr Pope has been my doctors since I came to Oklahoma 10 years ago. He is very antilitical,

and to the point. He takes the time to hear what I have to say. I never feel rushed, he takes whatever time is needed to answer all your questions,He tries to save me money on

my prescriptions when ever possible. He came very highly recommended to me. I am fortunate

that he is my doctor.

More Compassion than any physician that I have ever seen or worked with – I have been treated by Dr. Wesley Pope for many years, since right after he came to Newcastle and opened his clinic. I have to say that it is my opinion that Dr. Pope has to be the most compassionate physician I have ever had the pleasure to discuss health issues with. In the last few years I developed a condition for which I sought the professional advice of exactly 7 different 'specialists to treat excruciating pain in my left leg. I had 4 MRI's and 2 CTs and EXRAYs and this went on for about two years while I continued to suffer because not only could they not figure out what was wrong, but not one of them was compassionate enough to treat my pain and the anxiety that came along with not knowing what was wrong. After seeing Dr. Pope again for this particular problem and agreeing to see one more specialist, between the two they were able to find that I had nerve damage that caused irritation and I even know why this occured now. I was treated for this condition and continue to recieve his support and care when myself or my family need it. Dr. Pope stayed late one night about 9 years ago to give my infant daughter who had a severe bought with the croup a breathing treatment, this he did so that we did not have to go and be seen at the ER. He was the last person to leave work that night and we all left after dark. It is this kind of care that I have been blessed to recieve from Dr. Pope and my daughters and I continue to recieve from him. A patient and physician relationship is a partnership that requires honestly and the willingness to work to make the situation better. I challenge you to find a physician that will actually listen to your problems and acts like a human himself. There are many that do but there are many more that do not. I sincerley hope that Dr. Pope continues to practice here with the compassion and integrity that he himself has shown my family for years.

highly recommend for great care – After taking my family to tricity family clinic, I was convinced that we had found the best doctors around. The staff and nurses were all very helpful and friendly. I recieved excellent care from the doctors. They seem like they really care about their patients. Unlike many other doctors they spend time time you and don't rush you in and out like cattle. Their clinic is located for convience and is kept clean. I was able to get X-rays, lab, and good medical care without leaving the building. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants good quality care for your family.
