Unreal selection! – Wow, what a find. My wife was referred to Segal's by a friend and we were blown away by the inventory, customer service and friendly staff! We needed a new car seat for our three year old and they not only had the best selection, they installed it at no additional charge! We will certainly be back!
very bad service – We had a terrible experience. The sales person was unhelpful and rude. I see all of the good comments and the only thing I can think of is maybe they dont like people that dont fit their proflie. I came in with workout clothes along with my wife. they must of thought we could not afford their stuff. They were totally wrong. Oh well, we will spend our money online and out of market.
Amazing Selection and service to match! – My wife and I have been to several baby stores in the area from Vancouver, Portland, Clackamas, Beaverton. Since this is our 3rd child, I would say we are experts in shopping for "Baby Stuff". Being the experts, we would recommend Segal's to anyone. For example, we went to Babies’ R Us and found a car seat we liked. The high school student that worked there had no information about it at all. I asked her about it and she started to read the information on the tag which I had already done. It was quite funny and frustrating. They also only had the seat in one color. While visiting Segal's, they had the EXACT same car seat in stock in 5 colors and could order about 5 more. The lady who helped me knew everything about this car seat and more. They even professionally installed it for me right at the store.
I would recommend Segal's to any expectant moms, parents of small children, friends and family of those who are expecting or have small children.
2 thumbs up, 10 out of 10, any other cliché comments I could make to say they are great.

Segal's is a blessing for Mom's – On Tuesday, July 25th I visited Segal's to pick up two car seats for my twins. There had been a sale on britax Marathons and I got a great deal on two car seats that should serve us pretty well. I was impressed with how friendly everyone was and I was told that they don't even work on commission. I thought with the level of service I was getting that they had to be. A tall friendly lady with white hair helped us with the eargo carriers that we wanted to look at, and a young man from australia installed both our car seats on what must have been the hottest day of the year. He even took the time to show us how to do it and how they worked. AND IT DID NOT COST ME ONE RED CENT! It's refreshing to find a local family business that puts customer service over big box retailers like Baby's R Us and Target, where no one really knew anything about carriers and car seats. My children (twins) are 14 months now and all I can say is I wish we had found you sooner. Thank You Segal's.....you have made a customer out of me for life and I'm sure Segal's will become a "Family Tradition" for us, as I am sure it is for many of your customers! Kudos to you all!!
First Time Mom Not Happy – I went to Segal's with a hightened level of expectation due to friends recommendations. I really enjoyed working with the sales rep Kelly, she had good information about each product I was interested in. However, things took a turn for the worst when I was told it would take two weeks for my stroller to arrive. 3 weeks later I called to get an update and was told Mr. Segal would have to call me with that information. After 3days of not hearing back from Mr.Segal I finally called again. He left a message stating the stroller wouldnt be in for another 3-4 weeks. This was very upsetting due to the fact that i already paid in full and could have gone directly through Bugaboo and it would have been here in time. I guess my feedback for Segals would be UNDER PROMISE OVER DELIVER! This situation makes me want to pull my full registery from this store. I will share this story with friends who are concidering shopping here.
Things like that can happen anywhere. The customer service doesn't sound great, but people who aren't happy with a situation no matter who's fault it is will find ways to complain about everything. I have been in there, and recommended several friends and family to visit there. They have all come out with raving reviews. Besides our baby being born, Segal's was the next best experience we have had regarding our baby. We love that place.
Good custmer service – When my wife and I bought our car seats from Segal the sales person was very helpful and he even installed them in ou car in teir parking lot. Most places do not do that.
Can't say enough good things – We have NEVER had any problems at this store! Micheal, the carseat tech, recommended we purchase the Britax Marathon seat and thank god we did as my car was t-boned and rolled just 1 month later. Fortunately my baby was fine and I attribute it to the Britax seat and the expert installation. Mr. Segal and his staff are very well informed on ALL the products they are selling.....We will continue to shop at there for all our needs and we recommend Segal’s For Children very highly to everyone!
Great Local Baby Gifts! – I needed 2 baby shower gifts and was really pleased with the selection there. I was able to find reasonably priced items and there was a great selection.
Also, that business has been there for a long time and all the mothers I know bought baby items there. It was really sweet that they all had memories of this place. Luckily it isn't old and stale but has kept current.
I'd absolutely go there again for all the other babies being born!
told me after 6 weeks... – My sister ordered a crib from Segals 6+ weeks ago and at the date of purchase...which was paid in full was told would be available for either pick up or delivery in 4wks. My sister called and was brushed off with no return call after the 4 week promise. Yesterday...the 6 week point, she was told that the crib was discontinued. Would you not think that a company that has been in business for years think to check on availibility before taking $400 from a customer. My sister talked directly to Mr. Segal who offered no "sorry, for the situation" or even a credit or discount. Mr. Segal then said well..."you know that crib has had alot of issues.." That would have been helpful.."if" true when his sales woman (an older, tall, white haired lady) hadn't raved about how the crib safety was very excellent. My sister is now due April 14th with no crib. This business is fradulent in taking payment in full (which they said was not necessary) and not even having the grace to tell a pregnant mom she will not have a crib for her baby until 6 weeks after ordering...(again delivery/pickup was supposed to be 4 weeks). Seems like they may be going out of business for a reason. Good riddens!
The extra mile! – Where do you go when you need to get everything for a baby on the way? Segal's for Children is where! I was able to find my nursery furniture as well as have my car seat installed! They did not even charge me to install the seat and it was no easy task in my little car. The people who work there seem like they really care and made me feel important. Not many places seem to go that extra mile any more and it is nice to of found a place that does.
