Great place good price – I used to have my haircut done close to my home in downtown, but the prices where too high and the customer service was horrible, after I found avenue hair and zoraida I would not change places, because they had great service and good prices, and now I am very happy to start a new year with avenue hair.

AWESOME – I was looking for a decent place for my son's hair cut, he is really picky, after a little search we found AVENUE HAIR, the owner ZORAIDA HOPKINS , was really helpful and my son and i walked away with nice stylish hair cuts for a good price.

the people there are extremely friendly and Zoraida is awesome she is not new in this business for sure, she knows almost everything about hair cuts, that makes me feel secure having my hair cut done by someone that knows her profession, and my son from now on does not want any one else to touch his hair.

Horribel Experience – I went in for a haircut and highlights. The owner, Zoraida, rushed me through the process and I have to wonder if she even listened to what I asked for. She started chopping on my hair and within minutes I had a pile of hair on the floor that would be sorely missed. I told her what I wanted for highlights and I walked away with dark purple streaks in my hair. For several days I tried to avoid the light so people could not see them. After a week I called to get them fixed. Zoraida told me she would charge me again if she had to fix the problem. I told her NO, I would not pay for her to fix her mistake and she reluctantly agreed. This time I brought in pictures of the style of highlights and color that I wanted. We discussed the color and I showed her exactly what I wanted. When she was done re-highlighting, it was not even close to what I asked for. I showed her the color next to my hair and she told me it would lighten up in time and I should not worry about it. I did not press the issue as I already received the wrong haircut, two bad highlighting jobs, and poor service. Now I have highlights you can not see, a mediocre haircut, and I am out $160. Never in my 35 years have I had such a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Downtown salon experience without going Downtown... – This is a beautiful, clean, attractive, professional salon with an amazing staff. I have been to many salons in the Portland area and find this one to be the best by far. Many people want the experience spending a day at a posh salon but don't have the time to drive into Portland; what many people don't realize is they don't have to go far from their neighborhood to find it - I am so happy to have found a local salon that fits my all my salon needs from hair to pedicures, manicures, facials and even massage. Every time I get my hair done from Avenue I am asked nearly daily who does my hair and told how pretty my hair color or highlights are.You will compromise nothing at this salon - you get it all. I highly recommend this salon to those who are as picky as I am - I only want the best and at this salon I get it!

Run AWAY... don't walk! – Bad service, unorganized, and unfriendly. Why would I EVER go back?

I love this salon – I started to go to Avenue Hair Design and Nails about 1 month ago. Holly does my hair and she is very friendly and cuts it like I want. I like this salon because of the friendly atmosphere that owner Zoraida and staff gives when you walk through the door. They are also very knowledgable about the products that they are using and recommending. I have been to other salons in the Portland Area and do not get this feeling. I would recommend this salon to anyone who asks and will for sure be going back .

Best Kept Beauty Secret in Beaverton – I've been seeing owner Zoraida Hopkins for Bio-Ionic thermal straightening since 2003. The process leaves my hair silky straight, and beautifully conditioned. So manageable! Lasts and lasts! Truly a permanent solution to unruly waves and curls.

Watching Zoraida grow this business has been fascinating, and it just keeps getting better.

The latest edition has a calm, clean, and understatedly elegant ambiance, with an open feeling of space, and yet, a comforting sense of privacy in each of the various treatment rooms.

Zoraida really cares about the quality of your experience, and is careful about hiring well-trained quality staffers, as well as being very well qualified, and talented herself.

I had a great facial from Christine Senseman, who is impressively fluent in describing, explaining, and using Aveda's line of high quality, organic beauty products. I was amazed at how clean, soft, and dewy my skin was after the facial she gave me. I have that difficult type of middle-aged skin that is dry, but troubled with acne as well. In the past , facials weren't always much help, and sometimes felt like a waste of money. I have had to be careful that the wrong product didn't make my sensitive skin blemish, and become blotchy. Not so here! I was very pleased at the beautiful results, which were also remarkably long lasting. I'm planning to go back soon and regularly, for a brightening facial (to reduce some of my sun damage), a massage, a mani/pedi, and much more. Aveda Rocks!!!

I'm glad to have this wonderful salon/spa as a partner in my ongoing quest for beauty and style. Thank you Avenue Salon Spa!

Not a good place for nails! – My friend and I decided to get manicures and since this was the only Aveda location answering their phones we went here. Big mistake. I asked for a spa manicure and received the basic. Not a big deal. I asked for oval, I got square. I received the base coat, and 2 coats of color and top coat back to back with absolutely no dry time in between. Two nails were messed up before I even got out of the chair. Instead of redoing the nail she just wiped off the messed up part and attempted to touch it up. Completely obvious. By that night my nails were all chipped and it looked like they had grown out because they weren't polished all the way to the cuticle. I was also sporting nails with a ton of dents in the polish from the coats not drying enough in between. My friend got french tips that were not straight and walked out with white nail polish all over her fingers. Safe to say we won't be coming back.

Excellent experience – I followed my favorite long-time hair stylist Kellian to Avenue Salon and I was in recently to inquire about eyelash services. The staff was intelligent, informative and provided me with options. I chose to have my eyelashes permanently curled (I didn't even know this existed). It was awesome! Now I wake up every morning with already curled lashes. I have also made an appointment with Christine for a facial, and look forward to the results. I have met with her already and am doing what I can to improve my skin at home before my service.

They have several services ranging from massage, to manicures, to hair services - there are packages too.

I highly recommend the eyelash perm and look forward to my next service at this beautifully remodled salon.

a little disappointing – I first heard good things about this place and it is a nice salon. But it is a little expensive. When I booked my appt. the girl on the phone told me she was new so it took a little longer than should be expected. Then the owner called the next day to ask me what form of payment I would be using, which I thought waws a little strange. (maybe their visa machine was down?) Then they called to confirm the day before and said they would need to rescedule part of my appt. because lack of staff. I would reccommend this salon if you have a lot of time on your hands. But if you want to book a appt. beware they appear to be quite unorganized. Needless to say I wont be going back and am warning my friends about this salon. It all seemed a little shady.
