If you want service, don't waste your time here – Don't let the Willamette Week review fool you - Sushi Time should have been called Waste of Time. First off, "Taki" (the chef) was very cordial and inviting - thats where the repeat costumers come in to play. As we sat down (at 8pm), we watched others leave and thank the host for the best sushi they've had. Taki then gave us some saki and everything seemd to be going well. So, it seemed like we had found an excellent yet undiscovered sushi joint. Then it all went downhill - the wait began. No menus, no drinks. Just forced to watch Taki get wasted with all of his buddies seated in the corner (the only other group in the house). At about 8:15pm. we finally got a couple of beers and ordered some tempura oysters and some miso soup. When we finally got them, the oysters were cold and we got one cup of soup - two people sitting together and one cup?. After the soup and the oysters we waited again. The menu (that we had to get ourself) was confusing (it was in english) and the prices didn't reflect the review I had originally seen. Taki made our first round of sushi which was pretty good - but rushed. His wife made everything else and I don't think they made it this far from her sushi making. So as Taki drank shot after shot with his buddies - we waited for our sushi. At 9:10pm the next round arrived. We got less Sashimi than we ordered, and the rolls were tiny and sloppily made. We never saw the host or server again - aside from the party in the corner that the chef was drinking with, we were the only ones there. We ate the sushi pretty fast (we had been waiting for over an hour so we were pretty hungry) and were still hungry after our meal. It wouldn't have mattered if we ordered more because there was no one to order from. More water, another beer? forget it. At 9:30, we went to the counter and shelled out over $40 for the dinner. The hostest took the money and scoffed at her tip. Bottom Line - don't waste your time. Go to Saburo's in Sellwood - its worth the wait.

Best Kept Secret Sushi Restaurant – This hidden Sushi Restaurant's location doesn't do it justice as many patrons claim the "Best Sushi in the City"! This intimate setting, great for couples, small parties, and business meetings, features a sushi bar and take-out sushi, plus prompt, inviting, and friendly service. Stop in for lunch and you'll leave with a smile and a satisfied stomach! I recommend the Kryptonite; mixed scallops and crab atop broiled salmon and shitake mushroom maki! Served HOT. Yum!
