Does anyone besides me find it incredibly wrong that Rivers Edge Towing in Hood River OR charged my kid $415.00 to tow her car 4.02 miles after her single car accident? Granted, it was 5:30-6:00am but I think they took advantage of her. Her car was upright, air in all 4 tires, all the way on the road, rollable but squished and even pointing in the right direction to be towed, one of the easiest tows ever. Charged her a $50 "impound fee"?. Her car was on their lot a total of 8 hours. They have lost all my business along with several friends of mine. If you agree that what they did was wrong, please don't give them your business..call someone else..
On a day trip from Richland Wa. to Merry Hill museum, we found ourselves stuck along side the highway with a bad wheelbearing and major collateral damage. We live in Snohomish WA., our hotel was in Richland and we were broke down near Biggs Oregon! Along came Brock Parker (due to a call to AAA Wash. and a transferred call to AAA Oregon). He got our truck to Legacy Ford in Pasco Wa. And could not have provided us with more professional, courteous, useful help. He then delivered us to our hotel in Richland, before returning home! App. 260 mile round trip just for our call. Thank you Brock. Chuck, Diana and Lisa

My son was on his way home to Portland area from EOU in La Grande Oregon when his car broke down on a lonely stretch of I-84. Naturally it was the start of spring break on Friday evening. He was picked up by Bob with Rivers Edge Towing. Bob was wonderful and got him and the car to Hood River.
Thank you Bob for helping my son and making sure he was safe.
Tow-rrfic! – I have rarely experienced a situation where I was left stranded in my vehicle because of icy roads. It is a scary thought to think of being helpless and abandoned. Well, this happened to me TWICE in one weekend. As luck would have it, Rivers Edge sent Dave there to assist me both times. My car is a heavy one (BMWx5) and I was very concerned that, with the conditions, he might not be able to pull it back onto the road without harming it. But Dave was ingenious! He chained the tow truck to a tree, winched my car up and got it safely back on the road. Because of the road conditions I decided to stay overnight and try to return to Portland the next day. Unfortunately, I went ‘off road’ again the next morning at the same exact place. Well…once more Dave showed up! After he had his laugh at my expense he assured me that it would be easier, this time, to pull my car back onto the road. Once the car was in position to be driven out he offered to drive it down the treacherous part of the road and walk back to the tow truck. I have NEVER experienced such amazing customer service for any issue, let alone when my transportation home was in jeopardy. This letter is way overdue, but I continue to reminisce about this story with others.
Professionalism Personified – Wayne and his driver were very professional and punctional. They came to our aid in minutes, helped solve the situation and placed a return call to see that all was taken care of. Highly recommended!! Should we ever need help again in the Columbia River Gorge, they will be our first call!! Thank you Wayne and Co.
Grateful – We are grateful to your company, and the outstanding service provided by your driver, Brock.
Our car “broke down” on I-84 East bound on Sunday night, December 26, 2010. Brock came to our rescue and was amazing from the minute he answered the call for help.
Our alternator was out. The car was off to the side of the road but in total darkness. As he suggested, we turned on our flashlights, facing west, so that the east-bound cars and semi-trucks could see our vehicle. Our car was lit up and definitely noticed by passing cars. All east bound traffic pulled into the passing lane and avoided hitting us. We remained SAFE until he arrived.
He made sure we were safe, helped us into the tow truck. As we were driving back to The Dalles, he gave us various options regarding getting our car repaired in The Dalles or Hood River. We ultimately decided to have the car towed back to Hood River, to your shop.
Brock helped us find a room for the night and dropped us off at the Best Western in Hood River. We are so grateful that we were safe and warm for the night, after the stress of the car breaking down on a busy, busy interstate.
We wanted to thank your company, for the mechanic fixing our car so well and in such a timely manner. We were able to leave town the next afternoon, December 27th.
Most of all, Brock’s service EXCEEDED our expectations. He was an expert tow-truck driver, but more than that, he has integrity, and kindness. These qualities are not often seen in our society.
Beware – I've had 2 bad experiences at Rivers Edge Auto Repair. My bad for going back. Auto repair shops are supposed to go by the OEM parts and labor guide book, it's their bible. Rivers Edge will look at it and double the hours.
