Been Great for Years. I have been going to Speedy's since I was a boy. This is my favorite place to have a nice evening with someone. For dinner you can have two entrees and split a bottle of wine for fifty dollars. That I have yet to find anywhere else.
Sorry. The worst restaurant on the planet earth and I challenge anyone to dispute this clam after an awful dinner we made the mistake of ordering desert and when I found mold in the bread pudding I asked to see the chef he came out and apoligised and told us the board of health doesn't check the e refrigerator because its outside what am I in the twilight zone I have nothing more to say
not a place to eat. I cant' believe this place is still in business. Mr Walker and his wife are terrible with there employees. The Service is terrible. many years ago this use to be the hot spot, a fun place to be. It has gone down hill.
Off the Beaten Path but Worth Finding. A real neighborhood tratatoria with outstanding food and reasonable prices. We tried the best seller, Spicy Chicken Alfredo Tri-Linguine and found the lunch portion adequate for dinner. They have a full bar but we settled on the "any wine on the table for $25" and it was excellent. The service is saucy and the meatballs are spicy but MMM! On a Friday night you may want to make reservations. We reserved the deck for my husbands birthday party for 30 and they did an awesome job! If you order one of their hearth baked calzones it may take a while but it's one of the best I have had.. Save room for the chocolate croissant pudding even if it's to share. Don't let the building turn you off. The new owners have made the inside quite cozy.
Bad Staff, Overcharge. The staff are really rude and forget you half the time. And even somtimes you ask for extras on pizza or something and they charge you extra and don't even give you extras. Not Recommended!!!
Something is different.... My family used to be weekly regulars at Speedy's. Something has changed in the last two visits and not for the better. Even the faces are different. And the covered patio is pretty to look at, but HOT!!
Don't Judge a Restaurant by it's outside :o). I've taken some business contacts here and they loved it. Unassuming from the outside, cute and cozy on the inside. One of my most romantic dates with the boyfriend was here. Tiramisu here is very good. Lunch portions are tiny beware.
Great bistro!. Casual atmsosphere, great food (try the meatballs!) and accomodating service with a wonderfully sardonic sense of humor. Prices are right, too -- a great value. One of my family's favorite haunts!
Zhousu.
What a great meatball sandwich. Very Italian.
This place could do a lot to improve on the experience, like clean, indoor bathrooms. Good food alone, is not enough. It's also in a very odd location. It would never get drive-by business, only word of mouth business. The amount of parking, is wishful thinking.
