Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor. – In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Don't waste your time and money!!!! – Arrived at restaurant at 6 pm on a Sunday. Were seated and waited on promptly, however, we ate 2 1/2 loaves of bread between 3 people before our appetizer arrived, waited another 10 minutes for salads, and then sat around some more. We were served our steaks after 7 pm - over 1 hour after our arrival, and the 3 steaks we requested as medium to medium well were all barely warm and oozing red. Did we want to wait even longer to send it all back for proper cooking? No thanks, if they couldn't even get it right after an hour!! We told the server of our displeasure and the manager on duty came by and tossed us a coupon for a free Blooming Onion at our next visit. As if there will be a next visit. He didn't even bother to express any opinions or display any concern that the cooks did not know what 'medium' steak is supposed to look like, or any comments as to why they couldn't manage to cook them to done in the ample time they had (the restaurant was busy, but not too busy, as I mentioned we were seated and orders taken right away). Sorry, but if we're going to spend $75 on dinner for 3, we expect to eat in a reasonable time and have the food taste right. It is obvious that the staff at this restaurant, while cordial, really don't care enough to make the dining experience a good one. At least 5 staff people asked us how our dinner was and when we said 'not so good, the steaks weren't done' they just stared at us and said 'Oh". That wouldn't be so bad, except that the manager did little more than that himself as well. I find no value in the food we received given the price we paid for it. I think whomever owns this restaurant might benefit from sending his management and staff to some training in what real customer service is about (and while they're at it, send the cooks back to school as well)!

"Sleeper" steak; same goes for their bread. – You have to spend a lot more money than you should to get a better steak than you do at Outback. Skip the un-marbled Filet and go for the Outback Special, which is a well-textured Sirloin. Their steak flavor is unobtrusive and peppery. The free bread is equally memorable. Writing this makes me want to go back!

Not the best Outback but good – One of the main things that draws me to an Outback is the bread. Any other Outback I've been to - you turn around and there is more bread on your table. At this one, it seems like pulling teeth to get more. You can ask for it, but don't expect to get it for about 15 minutes. The steaks are great and the baked potatoes are even better.

Steaks are great – Great steaks, and good chicken on the menu, too. The bloomin' onion is yummy. If you don't like pepper, make sure and let the waitress know before your steak is cooked, some don't like the seasoning. But I enjoyed it!
