Amazing food. Always fresh. and the margaritas are to die for! (:
I'm Happy with this place – This place does a great job for the most part. We frequent this place often, I would say about 2-3 times a month for dinner and 4-5 time a month for Happy Hour. I commonly order the mixed grill which is great for dinner. I did however really like the ribs they had with the meal but the new Carnitas substitution is not bad either. For Happy Hour I usually order Margaritas, Flautas, and wings. All of which is fantastic, especially at $3.00 each! Salsa and chips are great. We can definitely tell a difference in who prepares it. One of the people that prepares it make's it very spicy. I've experienced it on many occasions. I don't mind it, but the wife and Kid's hate it when it happens (which is not too often). Just some input, not a complaint.
My only gripe is that the Bartender (Hispanic male) can be a grouchy priick at times. I mean c'mon buddy. I've had multiple guest with me ask me on many occasions "Is that guy in a bad mood or something?". To be fair, I've also caught him in a seemingly fair mood as well. Work on it.
A festive atmosphere, potent margaritas and wallet-friendly prices lure crowds to this popular Mexican chain. – In Short
With friendly servers and goofy gimmicks, Chevys is a big draw for families and groups looking for a fun, affordable night out. A full bar and a dozen different margaritas attract a happy hour crowd, and a tortilla machine is often surrounded by children watching the dough-to-tortilla transformation. Fajitas, a house specialty, are available with nearly a dozen different fillings, from mesquite-grilled chicken to portobello mushrooms and asparagus. Desserts include flan and sopaipillas.
Good food, great service – The service tonight was great. I was with a pretty good sized party, about 8 adults and 8 kids. The waitress was on top of it the whole time, she split the bill into "families" without even having to ask and she did it right. I would reccomend this place for a large get together for sure.
:) – Between the always perfectly blended margaritas, chips & salsa and the fresh tortillas (which I could never get enough of) my biggest problem is still finding room for those fajitas.
Not Bad – This place ain't too bad, but remember it's Tex-Mex, not Mexican. The food is a little different than normal Mexican. I eat there about every other month and the service is always really good. Better than some of the higher rated Mexican restaurants. They also have fresh tortillas.
