Great food, nice ambiance – This is a great place to go for a casual and delicious meal. I had the blue cheese burger and it was one of the best I have had in Portland. The menu has a good selection of familiar American favorites, and the wait staff was very pleasant. The inside of the restaurant was a little dark, but comfortable and relaxed.
Best pizza in town along with Old Town. – Sometimes I find Old Town to be too heavy (ie the combo pizza). Vista Spring isn't so. The crust is especially light and fresh. Oh, I love the caesar salad too. Plus, the drive up Vista is a joy to see the city lights.
Great pizza and terrific atmosphere – My family and I love the pizza, and the caesar is one of the best I've had. Wait staff is allright, but the food is great. We are definatly going to return.
way boring – vista spring has a great location with great possitbilities. it falls short is almost every catagory. i'm not sure where the people eat that have rated this place in the past. the selection is beyond limited. the pizza is not imaginative. there is no full bar and the food is bland. the burgers are the pre made frozen types that you can do nothing with. the salad on the side as opposed to chips is good. honestly the only reason to go to vista springs is if you live around the corner and lazy.
new owners took over months ago and did nothing but add canneloni and a couple other items. the place is so dark you can hardly read the menu and there is a good reason.
the staff is cool. everyone is nice, but take the time to drive down the street and avoid the vista.
Some of the best pizza in town is hidden in the West Hills. – In Short
Considering its location amidst some of Portland's priciest homes, this place is surprisingly casual. On any given night you'll see teenagers on a casual date, families with kids, and groups of friends dining together. Known for its pizza, Vista offers a dozen gourmet specialty pies. The Palm Springs Special combines mozzarella, provolone, Montrachet and Parmesan cheeses with red onion, black olives, walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes and basil. Other options include soups, salads, pastas, burgers and sandwiches.
A great family favorite – My wife jokes that it is the preppiest hangout in Portland. I am not sure I would agree, but the menu is solid, the staff is incredibly friendly and the dark wood decor does suggest a little bit of New England. Well worth a visit.
Pleasant and Delicious – This is a great neighborhood restaurant way up on the hill on Vista. It's very cozy and the food is always very good and home-made! We like the fresh ingredients in all of their many sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes. They also have great pizzas. The service is kind and it's an all-around pleasant place to dine. The dark wood booths and interesting decor are nice.
Service w/a Smile – Friendly service w/o going overboard. It's a fine line between being atentive and being bothersome. The girls at Vista Spring know the line and walk it with grace and speed. A thank you goes out to the hard working crew. THANK YOU !
GREAT FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE! – My fiancee and I really enjoy the cozy atmosphere and good food at Vista Spring. Everything I've tried on the menu has been good, but I'd like to see more selections! We've been here many times, and we'll be back.
Great Food and Great Service – Vista Springs has great food from their salads to their pizza. I've yet to have a meal there that wasn't A+.
