Great food, great people! – I work at the St. John's Deli and Grocery. We hand slice most, if not all, of our food. Everything is made fresh daily. EVERYTHING is stored at a proper temp. I stock the coolers too. Everything is updated and well within the dates. The bad review on us is most definitely incorrect. My boss is NOT racist and if we drop food on the ground, we throw it away. I don't know where you got your information.

I love working there. If we were as bad as one of the reviews, I wouldn't be there. Don't believe me? Ask ANY ONE of our regulars. Or just visit yourself. We are always looking to meet new people. :)

DON'T eat the mayo or pickles or the bread or anything here! – I would give it a zero star. Nothing in that store is stored at proper temp. The owner is so cheap he says cut the mold off the bread and cheeses. Eating the Mayo is better then any ex-lax on the market. You get charged extra for cheese, the prices of the 2oz meat sandwiches are ridiculous on top of getting charged extra for any toppings you want besides tomato butts and tops that they don't cut clean and 8oz of lettuce, in reality the lettuce weighs more then the whole sandwich. They believe in conserving, cut mold from products and cover it with condiments. The lemon tanks are caked with slime and mold and get cleaned MONTHLY. The pickles are stored in the backroom with the recycled bottles and cans, nothing like having hobo slobber drooled in to your pickles, oh yeah or the cleaning supplies when they take a tumble they land right in the pickles, boss says, "no you wash off". Cucumber hits the floor, "no you wash off." The owners are racists, they called one of their employees a round eye (slang for an American), say all black people shoplift and Native American's are alcoholics, only short Natives shoplift and tall ones don't. Simply the worse customer service, when the place is crowded you can cut the tension with a plastic spoon that may have or may not landed on the floor that was thrown back in the container. Reason I write this is because after getting some kind of food poisoning that caused me to bleed from both ends, people need to be warned. Save your stomach and money, shop at Safeway where they respect health codes. One more thing, don't be in the store when the electrical goes up because they have to ice down the sandwich cooler to keep it at temperature or it gets to warm and your sandwich starts growing that colon cleansing bacteria. By the way thought shamrock was bad with a Pepsi cooler going up in flames Std&g' sandwich cooler caught fire one time already when it crossed a ground and a hot.
