Delicious burger with fries inside it! Great atmosphere and really friendly staff.
Four Really Bad Drinks... – Just left this place in awe of the poor quality of drinks. I ordered an Old Fashion, a drink the bartender assured me he knew how to make, and make well. I got it. It tasted very watery and bland. The two guys with me got a Manhattan and a Mint julep both where watery and tasted very thin. I sent back my drink, only to get a very bland very watery Rum and Coke. I was beside myself with just how bad the drinks where we talked it over and decided not to gamble on the food, and left.
Overall feeling was this place was high on style and low on passion, and it tastes like it. If you want a good drink keep searching.
There are much better places in this town – it's impossible to find a parking spot in this neighborhood so you better get to know public transit. The staff and patrons are pretentious for no reason. It's Portland, Oregon people, if you were in NY or LA there would be reason for all of the snobbiness but not in the Pacific Northwest. And you can get the same food and better quality drinks at so many other places in this town.
Overall, what a let down.
Love this place – I have been coming here for years, and have never had a bad experience. Went lats night and saw the menu had been changed up a bit. I decided to try the pasta carbonara, always a favorite of mine. What i got was noodles with some bacon and peas?? peas?? peas?? what is the obsession with peas here?? also, there was no cream anywhere to be seen. dont get me wrong, it tasted OK, but it wasnt carbonara
Muu Effing Muu – My psychotic date paid the tab before left me there after a verbal lashing, he left a bad tip. Baffled, I was texting my little brother to come get me, the waitress comes up and tells me about said tip.
I apologized and agreed with her that he was clearly a d bag, I offered her any cash that I had and she refused, as i'm leaving she yells "why don't you just leave!"....which was what I was already doing....
So i'm outside on the phone with my brother and she comes out to continue her rant. I again apologize but I reminded her that I was outside, leaving her the alone, and that it wasn't my tab to pay or leave a tip. She comes back outside with a camera and gets up in my face with it saying i'm 86'ed. I'm even more confused at this point.
Dear awful waitress at Muu Muu's:
Maybe he gave you an awful tip because you're an awful waitress with an attitude and face to match.
Great food all hours – Where else can you get fantastic food at 12 am or 12 pm. I heart the brunch, no lines cozy booths and eggs benedict! Great place for sandwich and fries at lunch. The quality of the ingredients is surprising for a bar, and the prices are really resonable for NW.
Very consistent bad service. – I've been three times, the first time was the only time my existence was actually acknowledged. My girlfriend and I have swung by Muu-Muu's three times, the first time we went in, sat down and waited for service for about 20 minutes without any contact from a single employee. So we went hunting around for a menu and tried to talk someone into bringing us some drink. After being there for almost 30 minutes we were finally able to engage a waitress who was more interested in chatting with co-workers than serving customers. After a 45 minute wait we finally had drinks and food in front of us. The next two times we went were worse. We sat in our booth for over 20 minutes making eye contact multiple times and eventually waving our arms and asking for menus from our booth. We gave up completely on this place. Maybe there is an unspoken set of rules we don't understand? Some sort of Muu-Muu's etiquette perhaps? Either way, save your time and enjoy one of the other thousand spots in Portland, this place isn't worth the wait or "snubbing" as another reviewer put it.
Do you appreciate a good snubbing? Be snubbed at Muu Muus! – The first time we went in there, we were treated very politely, served excellent food and drinks, and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
The subsequent visit, however, was a stark departure from the the first. We approached a busy evening at just before one in the morning on a Thursday. We were disgusted by the uncouth and cavalier attitude of the barkeep, whom I may mention, was brutish and unstable in his philosophical discourse as to why closing hours of the establishment differed from what was in fact published on the very door he thus slammed in our faces. As soon as we walked away, the same infidel bartender allowed entry to two other potential patrons not three feet behind us! I shall never return to this crass dive bar.
Exceptional Food, Great Cocktails – Don't overlook this awesome place to eat, which I recently discovered with the help of a great person! Delightful food, cozy atmosphere, great cocktails. Seated promptly.
Awesome service/great drinks and food! – One of the best experiences in terms of value and service. Food is inexpensive and fantastic!
Phenominal Food & Great Prices – The service is excellent. The wait staff are nice and conversational. The food is outstanding and the prices are even better. My friends and I had a great time! Not much else to say except that I know I will be back and I will tell other friends about my experience. Great job Muu Muu's, keep it up!
