The last time I was in the real County Cork, our rental Fiat blew a tire, I had some rather disappointing Guinness stew, and an impudent beagle ate our entire wheel of Cashel Blue cheese out of the boot when we weren’t looking. I think I prefer THIS County Cork, plus, they accept dollars. Live music on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Lovely place to watch the game with your babe! – This place is awesome. I can take my babe in there with me. I ate there for the first time this week and had a wonderful experience with our waitress who was very thoughtful and sweet. I love that I can eat fish and chips (fried in soy oil...no trans fats!) and watch baseball with my kid.

horrible service – The staff was rude and argumentative. Will not be returning. There is plenty of good beer elsewhere.

unfortunate expreience – My friend and I ate fish and chips from County Cork, which are usually good, however, this last time we both ended up quite sick. I normally wouldn't write a bad review, but when I called to explain my concern to the restaurant they handled it very poorly by denying it. It's clear that that is where we got sick as it was the only thing that we ate together. Unfortunately these things happen, but it's even worse when they aren't responsible when it does happen. Just look into it - that would have been a simple solution.

A neighborhood pub with great atmosphere, friendly service and a jolly crowd. – In Short
This Irish public house-themed bar is less over-the-top than many, with just a few bits of Irish memorabilia. But true to the pub spirit, there is a weathered bar and a darts area. Pub-goers here sip on Irish, English, Belgian and Northwest brews or chow down a hearty Irish meal. The menu features sandwiches, beer-battered fish-and-chips, bangers and mash and the Ploughman's platter, consisting of cheese, carrots, eggs, apples, pickled onions and soda bread.

Cool place – Set in a beautiful neighborhood sets this quaint authentic Irish pub. Once inside, one feels as though they've stepped into Ireland. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food is really good for a pub, and I felt the pricing was quite fair. Good selection of ales, (though I wish they had Smithwicks.)Overall well worth the visit, I plan on returning to enjoy some live music.

Friendly Food Fun – This is one of my favorite local bars in Portland, the food is good, the staff is AWESOME, and the drinks are great. There really isn't anything negative I can say about this bar.

Beer, music, and wings! – A great addition to the IrishAmerican public house theme! The live music on Thursdays features talented, rotating musicians. And no cover! More than 20 worthy brews on draught, a surprisingly decent wine list, salads, burgers, and traditional Irish fare. Excellent wings with homemade blue cheese. Non-smoking inside but feel free to light up outside on patio or sidewalk seating. Handpainted tables are a real treat. Check out the Book of Kells murals in skylights. And the desserts.......cherry cheesecake, chocolate-peanut butter pie, lemon tart, bread pudding, always good, always changes.
