AVOID! These people are crooks! I bought a fridge with a warranty. The fridge never worked, and they refused to fix it. When we wanted to return it, they wanted to charge us almost $300! BUYER BEWARE!!!
Saved me tons of $$$$$ over the last decade . . . – This place Rocks ! (especially in this economy)
Over the last ten years, I have purchased a Washer, Dryer, Fridge, and a Smooth Glass Top Convection Oven. Washer & Dryer ($375 for set) still going after 10 years!!! Convection Oven ($350) still going after 7 years. The Fridge $275 had an issue with cooling within the first few months, probably due to hot temps in summer taxing the compressor. When I called to report the issue, they swapped out my fridge for a new one since it was within the warranty period. Now, Fridge has been going strong for 3 years!!! Btw, Huge Asset is the "100 Days Parts and Labor Guarantee" as they call it. It's what "seals the deal" for me. They've always been friendly, always informative - taking the time to answer my questions, and most importantly - quick to respond when I had an issue - this seems to be the time that seperates the "sales companies" from the " sales & SERVICE companies"!!!
Amazing Selection of Vintage Appliances – Amazingly beautiful old appliances. Restored and functioning. Its worth the extra $ to save you time and energy trying to buy on craigslist. Heck, you might end up here anyway trying to get your craigslist fridge working.
Disappointing – Appliance City is right in our neighborhood and we were happy support a local business and buy something used - essentially recycled - but I think now that we probably wasted our money.
The people at the store are very friendly, very helpful - our 'new' washer was delivered very shortly after we'd bought it and of course they took away the old one 'for free'.
But we'd bought a repaired washer only a few years old - spending about $150 - and it is now leaking oil INTO the laundry. A search online shows that it's probably a part that will be too expensive to make sense fix - and since the 60 day warranty from the store ran out about 4 months ago, we're back to square one.
I am disappointed that their 'repair' or 'service' to the used machine lasted such a short time. We'll be biting the bullet and buying a brand new machine, probably from a box box store this time (though it pains me to say so!)
