best pizza ive had in years – So SO So good. We've been looking for something we really like in our neighborhood and this out beat stark street and american dream by a long shot.
We had a half and half. (build your own with veggies and their flying pig special.) as first I as a little turned off by the limited amount of toppings but they proved that I good pizza can stay basic.
the crust was the perfect amount of crisp/chewy and just the right thickness. Perfect amount of cheese and sauce.
Great Pizza, really friendly – Can't tell you how many times I've been there (including today). Apollo and Lunar Luau are my favorites. By far my favorite pizza place. And they sell pizza by the slice. Good selection of micro brews as well. And the service is really quick. Can't go wrong at this place.
Great pizza spot – Since this neighborhood jewel opened under new management, the place is cleaner and brighter with a charming alien theme (note the green picnic tables on the sidewalk). The owner is very friendly and the pizza is great. I highly recommend getting pizza here. It's far out!
Best pizza in town! – My husband and I come here often since it's our neighborhood pizza joint and because it is the BEST pizza we've ever had in Portland, or perhaps anywhere! The crust is thin but yeasty and delicious like fresh bread. The sauce is exquisitely spiced, the toppings and cheese are perfectly matched. Atmosphere is unpretentious and humorously "alien" and the prices are cheap. Don't come here looking for the biggest slice of pie you've ever had, go to a chain instead, come here if you're looking for the best! Amen!!
Sooooooooo GOOOOOOD – Outta this world service. Likin' Luke a lot. Pizza is my fave in town. Sauce has a kick to it!
Pertinent Pizza – I am a Michigander and was out visiting my son & daughter-in-law and wanted Pizza and this is where they took me- They used to live in that nieghborhood so we went there from the Lloyd Center Max stop-very easy to get to. They told me ahead of time the owner was very nice and the pizza was fantastic. My son gave Luke a UFO flying saucer puppet to place amongst the other Space things. Marvin is there too. I noticed some sports items in the decor mix--seems sports fans can be connected with outer space as well:)- Best Pizza I have had and the presentation with the twisted crust is picture perfect (I know 'cause I took quite a few shots of the place) It was the most comfortable and relaxed dining experience I had in Portland. The Pizza was pardon their pun-Out of This World. NO...Really! Luke is a wonderful host and he tosses out fun as he tosses up his pizzas. Thanks fellow Earthling Luke- Food & Fun what more could you ask for?
Out of this world Pizza!! – UFO has always had good food, but now it has even more. New ownership has improved the service, environment and vibe. Most importantly, UFO now serves beer and wine. Try out a slice, but don't get distracted by the cute owner.
Affordable & Amazing... Loved it! – I was told by a friend to check out UFO Pizza as it had just re-opened under new management - so I did. My son and I tried it out - and you have not seen a pizza critic until you have seen my eight year old eating pizza - he loved it!! The owner Luke was fabulous and my son now refers to his favorite pizza place as "Luke-A-Pizza." The pizza was very, very good - thin crust, fresh ingredients and amazing sauce! And just the right amount of sauce, too - not overwhelming. We have eaten at UFO Pizza twice in the last two weeks and I confess to craving it on Monday when it was closed. This is a quaint, local Pizza joint with an owner who cares - not to mention he serves a fabulous pizza. Whether you want a whole pie or just a slice - it is affordable and amazing. Of note - the slices are literally two in one. Generous doesn't describe it.
Old location, New experience – I hadn't been to UFO Pizza for a few years, ever since I moved out of the neighborhood. Was in the area last night with friends so we decided to check it out. Looks like they just reopened with a brand new owner and a new attitude. The space is now cleaner and Luke is a great guy who really cares about making a great pizza and making his customers happy. You're lucky if you live close by and it's worth the trip if you're looking to try something new. No more Greek food on the menu which is too bad, but cash and cards now, which is great.
Everything is fresh. The crust was hand-tossed and thin and he'll bake it chewy or crunchy, whichever you prefer. The sauce tastes great without overpowering the true star of these pies - the cheese! Delicious. You can find all your favorite toppings to create your preferred pie or just order one of the alien themed pizzas. If you get a chance, chat with Luke for a few minutes. He wants input to make the place a true part of the neighborhood and a great place to enjoy some delicious food. Last night he made everyone from a six year old to a 40 year full and happy. So far, real good.
UFO Pizza - A fabulous find – If you haven't stopped in at UFO Pizza - it is worth the trip. There is a new owner and he has really turned it into a cozy neighborhood hang-out. The pizza is very tasty with a thin crust filled with flavor. My husband and I ordered two pizzas and devoured both of them. The atmosphere is very comfortable and you really can tell the owner care about connecting with the neighborhood/community. It is the type of place that makes Portland keep its small town flavor even as it grows into a bigger city.
