After a full day of vintage shopping on funky Hawthorne Blvd, walking into the colorful and cool Ben & Jerry's for an ice cream treat is a welcomed pit stop! Sit inside amidst the colorful wall art or grab a seat at one of the outdoor shaded tables.
Thanks to this chain, everyone can enjoy chunky, funky ice cream with a clear conscience. – The Scene
It's not just about the ice cream. Ben and Jerry, two childhood friends from Vermont, built their empire on a great product laced with social awareness. Sit in this scoop shop, grab an unbleached napkin and gaze at the murals depicting hormone-free cows munching in green, organic pastures. While you're there, pick up literature supporting some local environmental causes.
What a difference pure, delicious ingredients can make. Favors include Chunky Monkey, Phish Food, Cherry Garcia and New York Super Fudge Chunk, just to name a few. Decadent sundaes swim in real hot fudge topped with fresh, homemade whipped cream. Cookies, brownies and waffle cones are lovingly baked each day in-house. For the light-at-heart, there are sorbet splashes--refreshing, fat-free fruit slushies.
As Expected – As another reviewer alluded, the ice cream here at the parlor tastes just like the ones you can buy at the store, except there is a much greater choice of flavors at the parlor. You just pay a little extra for the ambience, but it's worth it in my opinion. Some of my favorites are Phishi Food TM and Chunky Monkey. Just love their creative names and variety.
Wavy Gravy mmmmm – ben and Jerrys has the best ice cream because i love to eat wavy gravy!
Best ICE_CREAM in the world – it is the most delicous ice cream I have ever had, beside renesaunts in Vancouver,WA
Yum Yum! – Ben and Jerry's has original flavors, a peppy atmosphere, and delicious ice cream. The only downsides are a lack of indoor seating, and slightly high prices. But it's worth it!
Is there anything else? – What more can I say, it's B&J's? The best ice cream ever and the funky names add to the fun :)
most deliciousest – coconut almond fudge chip.
The only place to get it is here, and it's worth the drive from beaverton!
