Decent food, great value – Ordering here is a true multiple-choice affair, in that there are three menus to consult when you walk in: a large letterboard, a row of pictured suggestions, and a paper version under the counter's clear plastic surface. I suggest using the paper version, as it is the most complete and least ambiguous. Using the large menu up above, I ordered a teriyaki tofu dish; only when my food arrived did I notice that tofu only comes with "hot and spicy" sauce, and so that is what I got. Granted, this is mostly my fault for not reading the menu correctly, but I did specifically say "teriyaki tofu" upon ordering. Fortunately, there is free extra sauce provided on the tables, and so I made my own "hot and spicy teriyaki" dish, and it was better than it sounds. I appreciated the large portions relative to the price ($5.50). The teriyaki beef looked like a real steal at $6.15, only 75 cents more than the tofu dish. The free green tea was another bonus. Other than the self-induced hot-and-spicy fiasco, I only found two things disappointing: 1) no brown rice is available and 2) I would've liked just a bit more tofu for the amount of rice provided. Finally, I'll point out that I had to wait a couple minutes for my food to be served, which was actually refreshing because it meant (I assume) that they were cooking it to order.
