What you expect. – Good food if your looking for late night munchies, but that's about it!
Super friendly – Always friendly service at this store. Happy employees and good food. I love pancake puppies!
Known for its breakfasts, this diner chain slings all-American grub and bottomless cups of coffee. – In Short
With its kid-friendly vibe, booth seating and late-night hours (most stores are open 24 hours), Denny's draws night owls, seniors and families with kids. The menu sticks to classic American staples: wings, chicken strips, burgers, salads and the like. But breakfast is king, with specialties ranging from skillets, egg scrambles, French toast platters and several variations on the famous Grand Slam: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links.
Late Night Dining? More like Nightmare! – I am not a difficult customer. When something goes wrong, for example, mistaken order, I either not say anything at all or kindly let the server know. I am a waitress myself, so I know how it's like to be a waitress.
I went to this Denny's early this morning/late last night with my friend. Our server was unfriendly and unhelpful. She did not smile once during the whole time that we were there. Both my friend and I ordered the Steak and Egg breakfast but he wanted his steak medium-well and I wanted mine medium. We were sitting really close to where the food came out, so when the food was ready I was able to hear the server talk to the chefs to determine which order is which. When the server approached our table, I called for my order (medium) and my friend called for his (medium-well). My friend soon finished his French toast and egg and started eating his steak but only to find out that it wasn't done the way he wanted. I was still finishing my French toast and have not touched my steak. After he alerted me, I check my steak and found out that the server had swapped our order. The server who was serving us had 4 other tables (no big tables), which I think is easily manageable. The server was no where to be found most of the time and when she does show up, she just go on doing her own stuff. She rarely went to any of her tables. Pretty much, after she seated us, took our order, and brought out our order -- that's it! We were out of water and my friend wanted a refill on his drink, but we couldn't find our server or anybody.
Horrible service, okay food. – I am not even close to being a difficult customer when it comes to eating out but this Denny's location has some really crappy service. Recently, my girlfriend and I went to Denny's for some late night dining since there were not many other places open at this hour and it was close by. Apparently we were the only customers they had that night. You would think being the only patrons, we'd get full attention and excellent service. However, the server apparently would rather read the sports section of the newspaper than get our order. We hardly ever got refills on our drinks, and to make it worst, he charged us per cup on drinks that were suppose to be free refills. I figured maybe it was just him and that it can't be all that bad. A few nights later we returned to find the place with more customers and a different server. This server, although a slight improvement compared to the service we received before, did not do much better. What the hell is the point in bring those order booklets with you if you don't plan on writing down the customer's order, only to end up getting the order wrong. After having to deal with their incompetence twice by two different servers, I have to say I don't want to go back ever.
So-so – You know, Denny's on the whole isn't the greatest place to eat, but if you're craving something in the wee hours of the night. This does the trick. The wait-staff have always been nice and pleasurable. Sometimes it takes awhile to get your food. But in a laid-back atmosphere (and if you're not in a hurry) who cares? Prices are kind of high for breakfast, but that's pretty much standard in chain restaurants like this.
