Fantastic Customer Service, Fantastic Flower Arrangement! – I called this florist from California and ordered flowers. I had many questions. The man who helped me was very patient, kind, and informative. He went above and beyond in making my order beautiful.
I received a call from the recipient of the flowers and she commented on how beautiful they were. She insisted that the arrangement was exceptional.
I highly recommend these very talented, kind florists. I cannot fully express my gratitude!
Always professional and courteous! – I have been using Walkers on Killingsworth for 25 years with never a problem. Their sales staff is courteous and their drivers are always prompt and professional. I have read some of the other reviews and can't imagine that anyone at Walkers was anything but professional. Perhaps when you order at the last minute you shouldn't expect miracles. Give them a try as I have for 25 years or more!
Courteous Service, Prompt Delivery – I used this shop because it was close to my delivery location in NE. The flowers were outstanding. The woman was nice on the phone. I had to post this after reading other reviews. I see no problems with this shop at all. I'll use them again.
Delivery within 1 hour!!! – I needed a delivery right away in downtown Portland and called this shop. They said it could be done but there would be a $25.00 delivery charge. Less than 30 minutes later my flowers were delivered. Bravo!!! I can't imagine better service from a any business. Thanks for everything!! You have gained a customer for life.
For Delivery go with another provider – If I could rate less than -10 I would. My son's birthday was June 2 (Monday). decided on Saturday (May 31) that I would send him a gift basket. I submitted the order and made payment. On the afternoon of June 2, "Linda" at Clarence Walker called. She left a message to let me know that she "couldn't find anyone to take the order. I called her back, thinking that she meant there wasn't anyone at my son's office that would accept the order..what she meant was that she couldn't find "anyone" (florist perhaps?) in Berkeley, CA to "take the order." She said that they would not be able to deliver until June 3. I told her that was fine. Nothing was received on June 3. I called Clarence Walker, spoke with someone who told me that he didn't know anything but he would get a message to a person who could help me. Hours passed - no return call. I called again and spoke with another man who told me that he didn't know much about the internet (I told him that if I had read the online reviews before I ordered I wouldn't have ordered.) He said he only talks with people who are happy and say that Clarence Walker has great customer service...I'd like to know how they screen such calls. He told me that "Linda" had been working on my order for an hour yesterday and only she could help me. She, of course, was not in. I told him that I was through. I wanted the order canceled and my money refunded. He told me he couldn't do that, I have to talk to Linda. I've waited almost an hour with no return call from Linda. He further told me that maybe next year I should think about ordering a week in advance--my order was an impulse order---my son had already received a gift I had mailed to him in advance. I went with this internet provider because they ADVERTISE that they can do NEXT DAY delivery. Will I get my 66.92? I've learned 2 lessons from this. This is a poor excuse for a business the relies on delivery. Now I will ALWAYS read online reviews BEFORE I order anything.
Worst business and worst employees I have ever encountered – Bottom line: their employees are rude, incompetent liars, and they do not make any effort to actually provide the delivery service for which they are paid. I cannot imagine why they are still in business.
My fiance ordered flowers to my house as a graduation gift, and called ahead to make sure the flowers could be delivered before I arrived home on Saturday, May 10. The employee with whom he spoke assured him that the flowers would be delivered by 1 p.m. on Saturday. The flowers never came at all on Saturday. When we called to ask where they were, we were repeatedly told they were "out on the truck for delivery." When we called back that evening to ask why they had never arrived, we were told they would go out first thing in the morning. The flowers still had not arrived by 5 p.m. THE NEXT DAY, so I called to cancel the order. At that point, the manager gave me attitude and expressed surprise that I no longer wanted the flowers, and once again assured me they were "out on the truck." Obviously he had no credibility. At no point did anyone apologize for their tardiness or lack of professionalism, and at no point were they truthful with us regarding their delivery intentions and ability.
Worst Business i have ever delt with, stay away!!!! – I did business with this florist one time and I will never do business again with such rude unhelpful people. My same day order was delivered same day because they have no communication. I called several times to try to receive a tracking number or some form of confirmation my order was going to be sent, i was snapped at and told they didn't know and had no way of knowing! I said all i wanna know is that iwas getting wht i was paying for. They said there was no way of tracking it and and said " you wouldnt call the post office to find your mail so stop calling us" what? ofcoarce i would call. I paid extra money for this service and they acted like it wasnt their problem. I called several times just to be put on hold for over 15 minutes at a time, yelled at several times and hung up on by the supervisor who also at one point lectured me for ordering same day and that i should have thought ahead, and stop harrassing them. Who do they think they r!!! Same day delivery is for same day!!! Stay away from this florist, I've never been treated so poorly not to mention my package did not get to the recipient!!!
Superior Customer Service – I called Clarence Walker Flowers from my home in Iowa prior to flying out for my Mother's Funeral. I wanted to make sure I could get as many things done as I could before I arrived in Portland. I found it nice that their website had casket flowers on it. I ordered all the flowers, casket flowers and two "sprays" before I left for Portland. I spoke to Jim and David at the shop several times after my arrival in Portland. They we both very nice and assured me that all would be fine. I had every intention of going to their shop before the funeral but time never allowed. The flowers arrived just as we had discussed on the phone and were absolutely stunning. They were even nice enough to take the casket flowers to the funeral home and the sprays directly to the church. I would recommednd Clarence Walker Flowers for any floral needs in Portland.
Bad Customer Service – I called from Kansas City to order flowers for Valentine's day for my daughter who lives there. I thought it would be better to deal with a local florist then a 1800 flowers. I called the day before and the woman who answered the phone was the manager, Linda. I called very early about 8am Portland time and she took my order. She kept telling me that I was talking to fast and she does not write that fast. I tried to speak slowly but repeated the information more than once. She took the order and never once said there would be any problem in my daughter getting her flowers while at work. I told her that I wanted them delivered to job site. I wanted it to be a surprise. When I called the next day, she snapped at me and said she could not guarantee delivery time. She told me that they had 200 flower delivery and a funeral and that would come first. I tried to remain calm as I did not want to lose the delivery. The original order the day before was for 1 dozen but I changed it to half due to cost. Well she kept insisting no guarantee on time so I called back talked to another woman to cancel order. The flowers were delivered 45 minutes after the clinic closed. She happened to be there studying for a test so she received them. BUT they got the order wrong and delievered one dozen and did not cancel the order. They only charged me for half a dozen as I had ordered in the end. So you decide if you want to order flowers the day before the biggest holiday of the year thinking your loved one will get when you ask. I would have rathered honesty and been told that there would be no guarantee that the order would get there before she left work.
Best service I have ever had from a florist. – I had Clarence Walker Flowers deliver flowers to a grave at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland as I was going to be out of town for Memorial Day. The flowers were delivered on Friday as the shop was closed Monday. The shop emailed to let me know that the flowers were delivered. This was nice I thought, but later in the day they EMAILED ME A PIICTURE OF THE FLOWERS AT THE GRAVE!!! Wow, I have never had service like this from a florist. The flowers looked incredible too. It was a lovely arrangement in red white and blue. With this kind of service why would I go anywhere else if I need flowers!
