My Mother's Day flowers from my son were supposed to arrive on Saturday but arrived at noon on Monday. Some of them were droopy, as though they had been in the truck the whole time. My son complained and was offered a refund by the online company that orders through this florist. On Wednesday the florist called and said they were coming to "pick up the cancelled order". Horrible customer service and horrible people skills. Don't use them.
I placed an order to be delivered to my husband for our anniversary. It was the Beer Mug of Blossoms and the picture on the Internet looked great! Unfortunately, the person taking my order thought he heard BEAR MUG OF BLOSSOMS (not that they have one of those in their happy hour collection) and those were delivered instead. I wasn't happy about the mix up but I understand mistakes and was willing to let them deliver the correct order on the following day BUT the woman on the phone told me that she wasn't going to charge me for the bouquet they delivered to my husband BY ACCIDENT! I then insisted that they deliver on the date that I'd ordered it for. After an afternoon of will they or won't they deliver on my anniversary date, they finally delivered the flowers... My husband brought them home.... I got taken! The arrangement was anemic and sad looking and NOT the simple but beautiful arrangement I saw on the website. I should have done this myself and I will next time. Word to the wise; check their work before you have it sent. On the bright side, it was the thought that counts; they refunded me for the balloon they took back (the woman on the phone said that it was my husbands fault cause he gave it back, to which I told her that I didn't give my husband a checklist of everything that was supposed to come with his gift). I don't know how many times they told me over the phone that I got what I’d paid for... I did not, bad and insulting service and a terrible inferior product are not worth 50 bucks! BUYERS BEWARE! BUYERS BEWARE
I placed an online order with this florist on Saturday, 2/25. I requested same-day delivery and received a confirmation of my order. Today is Wednesday, 2/29, and my order still has yet to be delivered!
I received no notice on Saturday that my order wouldn't be filled that day. On Sunday, again nothing. On Monday, I called them and they supposedly contacted the local florist (order was going to Phoenix) who indicated the delivery would be made that day. Later in the day, though, I received an email stating that the florist didn't have the flowers I'd ordered in stock (orange orchids, which was the only reason I'd used this florist in the first place), so I offered guidance on a substitution and was assured the order would be delivered Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and despite ~ 10 emails to Clarence Walker for Flowers, I've heard nothing. At this point, I'm out ~ $90 with no sign of my order being filled.
This place acts like their mistakes are your fault and than over charges you even after they told you how much what you ordered would cost. I did an online order on Wednesday for delivery on Thursday which never came. On Saturday I called and they said their website had some glitches and the never received the order which I understood, things happen and mistakes are made sometimes. I over the phone placed my order with someone we will call "Dave" He barely apologised for the lack of delivery and that should have been red flag enough but I went ahead and ordered anyway asking specifically how much it would cost. When I received the order (at my house so I could hand delivery it for them instead of OHSU where I had originally wanted it delivered) It looked awful! The vase was not lavender like it was supposed to be, the flowers were wilted, and they overcharged me(even though "Dave" specifically told me a price!) This makes me want to never order flowers again! I'll stick with See's candies they have great customer service and don't screw you over and treat you like an idiot! This company is a big disappointment! Thanks for making my special thoughtful gifts a giant pain in the ass!
ABSOLUTE WORST BUSINESS EVER , DONT USE THESE PEOPLE. THE LADY TOLD ME SHE ACCIDENTALLY CHARGED MY CARD < told me to shut up ,and hung up on me and refuses to remove the charge .Now I get to wait 5 to 7 days for a refund , even tho i cancelled order before they even charged my card. I sent them 5 emails to cancel , talked too the owner and the lady , and still they charged my card . these people are CROOKS !!!!!!!
Wrong Day, Wrong Flowers – How disappointing. I ordered a dozen birds of paradise to be delivered on valentines day. Instead, they delivered a day early with a completely different flower arrangement. When I called to complain they said they didn't know what to do because they were out of birds of paradise. Apparently, the concept of canceling my order because they were out of a product never occurred to them. I still can't believe they decided to deliver a day early...lesson learned.
Disappointing, poor service – I went in person and ordered specific flowers and colors for someone's birthday. The woman in store was nice and quoted me $2 a stem, a delivery charge and that they could order the requested colors I wanted in time for the delivery in 2 days. Also, since the delivery is close by she states it is okay if the total is below $35, especially since they are not very busy right now.
The day before delivery I get a call that my order does not make sense.That the price is actually more per stem, I was not charged for a vase and needed to be and that a minimum $35 order must be placed for all deliveries. I explained what I had been told.
I ended up not having all the colors I was promised by the girl waiting on me (no red was there) and the cost was too high for me with all the errors she made. So I decided to change some of the arrangement, including now being charged for a vase when I was originally not. I was told she was distracted that day. I do not think that's an acceptable excuse for that many errors and no real apology for any of it, just excuses. No one else was there in store while she waited on me, yet she is distracted by personal stuff so much that she made all these errors?
I am disappointed and will seek out another place in the future.
Wish I could agree with everyone else. – I sent flowers to my girlfriend and they didnt arrive until after she left for work. I called right away, the man I spoke to agreed that they were late, and told me he would credit my card, which didnt happen.3 weeks later, I finally got through to the manager, who agreed that the flowers were late, but would not give me a refund because my girlfriend got them the NEXT DAY! not what I ordered or payed for. The flower arrangement was pretty, but my suprise never happened... I would probably have ordered from them again, if they had given me a full refund as promised.
Beautiful Arrangement, Great Service – I found this florist online (not through Citysearch so I didn't see any of the scathing reviews) and decided to give them a shot as I am from North Carolina and don't know any Portland florists. The arrangement turned out beautifully, I asked for star gazer lilies and roses which were both included in the arrangement as well as other gorgeous flowers. I never like using a "national" company such as 1-800-Flowers as they tend to give the order to just anybody and I have never had good luck with that. Plus I wanted to specify some of what I wanted included. Clarence Walker was great, with one brief phone call, I explained what I wanted, gave them my price range and they delivered the next day, no problems. I would highly recommend them, they were awesome.
Ruined Valentines Surprise – This Valentines day my Boyfriend and I are in two different states. He wanted to surprise me by sending me flowers. I got nothing, but my bf got a confirmation email saying that i received the flowers! (liars!!!) He eventually had to tell me he ordered flowers for me and that it was SUPPOSE to be a surprise, but when I never thanked him for them he grew suspicious.
I didn't get them until Sunday, the day after Valntines day!!!!!!
The delivery guy called my phone on Sunday, but i missed the call by like 2 minutes. I called right back, and a mans voice said "hello". (that was it. not even introducing that he was a flower delivery service.) I replied "hi, i got a call from this number." the guy said "oh...ok." (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) there was a bit of silence then I asked "is this number a flower delivery Service?" He said "uhh, yes it is". then there was another pause of silence! So i said who i was and if he had a delivery for me? he said, "o yes i just called you. We tried delivering these flowers yesterday but no one was there." (I was home ALL DAY And ALL NIGHT.......he didn't even call on Valentines day when he was supposedly at my house.) He then said, "i was a block away from your house when i called you, but you did not answer so i'm on the highway now." is this the way they treat their customers? scolding me like i am his child? i said "Are you delivering them to me?" he said, "I can if your at home right now." So he turned around and delivered them. Too bad it was a day late. Don't buy flowers from this company.
