Situated in the bottom level of an apartment building, this easy-to-miss Japanese sushi and ramen house has an impressive lunch special and even better happy hour. Try the daikon sushi or any noodle dish with a healthy dose of fish broth.

Delicious and affordable! – If you love Japanese food, this place is great! Try the kim chee or the noodle soups. The sushi was okay, too.

Passable for a Koji – This Koji used to be my favorite... then they changed management and the quality went down-hill.

Tempura? Don't eat it here, their fryer isn't hot enough so it comes out soggy and greasy. Yuck.

The sushi is fine, but this place can get over crowded on weekend evenings... just keep that in mind.

Very small chain that keeps a level of consistency, and they know how to cook their Tempura. – Way better than any Sushi Train type of resteraunt but not your fancy expensive joint. The fish is fresh (at least at the Wiedler location) and service in very genial. If I wanted to spend a third more for atmospere and presentation I would go to Sinju or Masu. If I just want some good Japenese food I will go Koji.

Just like being at home – After growing up in Tokyo all my life I find it refreshing to have a place where I feel at home chatting it up with the Japanese staff and mostly authentic food. Thanks guys for making Portland a little closer to home.

Great Japanese Cuisine! – Loved the food! Service was very prompt, and they were there to help you with whatever you needed at any time. Hours are very user friendly, and again the food is excellent!

Average, fast-food style sushi – This was my second attempt at finding the perfect sushi restaurant in Portland. It was recommended by a friend of mine who likes to eat here for lunch. Koji's has a large variety of menu items and a casual atmosphere. But that's where the good ends for me. The sushi was very mediocre. And that's what I expected from a chain style restaurant. The fish wasn't bad but it definitely wasn't fresh. This is a good place for the casual sushi eater (who prefers rolls) or for someone who wants a quick bite. But if your looking for an authentic, quality Japanese experience this isn't the place.

Offensive waitress will ruin your meal experience – Okay, if you want to order lots of food, avoid going here. An offensive waitress will tell you that you're ordering too much food several times even when you reconfirm her that you know what you are doing. My husband and I will never go there again. Not only the service is bad, I saw a chef sneezing on the food without covering his mouth. I have never experienced such an offensive behavior.

Stay away!

Good variety of japanese cuizine – Great sushi and other selections like box lunches, and rice bowls. The price seems to be average. The place is small and a little cramped but that never bothers me. the staff is friendly and the service is good. Not the best sushi, but not the worst. A good place for lunch!!!

Such a disappointment! – Just moved to NE and figured we would get good food at Koji...wrong. I ordered food to go and got there when she told me to, wrong food, cold food and awful sushi. Wouldn't ever go back. Service was friendly, but that is it....such a disappointment. Hate to waste money on bad food.

Part of a chain of Japanese restaurants, this swinging Lloyd Center sushi joint packs 'em in. – In Short
This restaurant is all about getting people in and fed in a hurry. Movie-goers and solo business diners pack into the small, sunken dining room. A dizzying array of Japanese specialties, from udon noodle soup to teriyaki, is available in addition to a standard list of sushi choices. Dinner items include broiled salmon, teriyaki and yakitori skewers. Shashimi is fresh, but rolls and nigiri are less inspiring.
