Wonderful place to shop!. After a recent bad experience at Cathie?s on 82nd Ave. (please see review on their page) I decided to give Halloween 1 last chance this year. All I wanted to do was find something fun and pretty to be able to wear out to the parties I?m going to. The instant I walked in the doors, I knew that this would be a better place to shop! The store was beautiful! The sales staff that I spoke with were understanding of the fact that I am a bigger girl, and walked me around to all sorts of wonderful costumes available in my size. They didn?t look down on me because I?m not built like a twig and were able to set me up with an entire outfit from head to toe! There were even a couple more items that I decided to get, but even though they didn?t have my size at that location, they were able to tell me what location I could get them at, and even offered to have them transferred in if it would be easier for me!

From what I saw here, I would send anyone and everyone I know to them!

(I shopped at the Downtown location, but I?m sure that all of them are run the same!)

A fabulous adult store!. When I walked into Fantasy, I expected a little store with a scary old man that would probably flirt with me behind the counter. I was wrong, very. I was immediately acknowledged and well taken care of by a nice young lady who was very informed and knowledgeable about everything in the store. I felt like I was in a school for the adult industry. The young lady also made sure I was getting a safe, fun, and reasonably priced toy that I could put to use and actually enjoy with my husband. She also made sure that I had all of the accessories I needed, like cleaner for after use.Their lingerie selection is also promising. I am a larger woman and have a harder time finding something that is flattering and will make my husband's knees buckle. I found lace thongs, and a bustier that I really liked. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit to the not-at-all scary adult store.

Avoid In Protest. Fantasy has always been my favorite adult chain in Portland. I've been shopping there for the better part of a decade now. That said, things have been changing. After speaking with the clerks the best I can figure is that the management has changed somewhat recently. As a company they now seem to be more worried with up-selling than with helping their long-time repeat customers. This location is the worst... even after speaking with the on-duty manager I felt like they were only interested in emptying my wallet. As an aside: it also seems like they cycle out employees about as often as I do my laundry.

Now, I know I've ragged on Fantasy a lot in this entry, but I do have something positive to say. The Downtown and Beaverton locations still seem pretty decent. Check out my reviews for them.
