TERRIBLE – This is a classical truck stop diner, only without the truck stop. The waitress took forever to take our order and just after we sat down, the couple next to us left because they were tired of waiting. When the food arrived, it was typical truck stop fare with an inflated price tag. Greasy. Yuck.

Great Find – We have lived in the area for over 20 years and never went to Rons. Recently a friend gave us a coupon, so we thought we would try it. This is not a fancy place. It is not very large. It is an old fashioned diner style restaurant with booths with a full counter. The menu is large and the restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. The prices are very reasonable and less than the chains. The food was very good and the service was friendly. The portions were large. The soup was homemade and delicious. The daily specials were a great value and home cooked. The atmosphere is like the old "cheers" tv show, Friendly and many reguars who the servers know by name. We definitely recomend this place. Ron's currently is giving out coupons for your next visit, which makes a great value!

Great family dining experience.

Breakfeast done right. – If you're in the South East area, and hungry for breakfeast, you should skip over Dennies and IHop and any other over-priced, low-quality breakfest joints and come to Ron's. The quality of the food there is almost unheard of as far as small diners go. Most things are home made: from the biscuits, to the gravey that goes on them, they cut their own steaks, roast their own beef, make their own jam and soups. The chicken fried steak is actually made from steak, Something you will never find in any coperate restuarant. They take pride in doing buisness the way your grand mohter or great grand mother would have done it. I've been going there for about six years and seen very little turn over in staff. Most of them are related or good friends, which creates a great, laid-back atmosphere. The best part is: they do breakfeast all day long! This is definately the place to go to enjoy a simple, traditional meal for just about ten bucks a person (or less, depending on what you order of course.) I would definately reccomend Ron's to anyone.

Awesome for satisfying that "breakfast" craving – I want to be clear about this. I go to Ron's for one thing: chicken fried steak, eggs, hash browns, toast. While I love exotic foods from all over the world, I also love me a big, life-shortening American breakfast. If you also share that craving then you can't go wrong with Ron's.

Chicken fried steak: large, delicious. Smothered in gravy with big chunks of sausage. The eggs are always done right. The hash browns are a bit more variable but are never diced, never have onions or peppers or junk in them. Toast is toast, but they include homemade (I'm pretty sure) jam.

Thats it. The key to American breakfast is keeping it simple and not for a second pretending that it is going to be a healthy meal, and Ron's nails it.
