Great selection and knowlegeable staff!. When I first moved to Pennsylvania and was forced to start buying beer by the case at beer stores, I was totally lost. Most of the stores carry a very limited selection and customer service is often lacking. I went to the Beer Lottery Store just out of curiosity one day a few years ago. The name doesn't exactly scream "high class beer store." But, hey, don't we all wish we could win the beer lottery?

I have not purchased beer anywhere else since then. They bring in beers from all over the world. But not only do they have them - they KNOW them. I have tried many different beers on recommendations from the two gentlemen who work there, and I have never been led astray. When you are buying by the case, it is wonderful to still have the freedom to try new beers.

The Beer Lottery Store carries a large variety of imports and micro-brews. If they don't have what you are looking for, ask for it. They'll be glad to try to get it. In the meantime, take them up on a recommendation. They'll even let you return it if you try one and don't like it.

Note: This store is no longer located in the Miracle Mile Shopping Center. It moved across the street next to the Pier1 shopping center.
