Awful food, terrible service and a smokey mess – Went here last Saturday and man, what a mistake. First off the waiter and the bartender kept throwing olives at each other in the dining room with more than one landing on a customer's table. Everytime it hit a customer or their table, the whole staff threw their hands up and yelled at the same time "collateral damage!" and would all crack up. Some of the customers found it funny and others were annoyed. The pizza was garbage. Oily, bland and wasn't cooked all the way. I told the waitress and she said that's how they make it there and she wouldn't help with the bill.i I called the manager a bastard, paid my bill and left forever.
Good people and great food – PHI is a great place to stop for excellent pizza, subs, and sides, been going there for years
When you need a place to meet friends for a few drinks and some good food this is it.
Pizza Paul is the man, he always takes care of the customer, hearty food, no skimping here.
Great Hotel BUT... – It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!
Great Pizza and Drinks – Abigail must like the cheap cardboard pizza from Maximum Flavor around the corner. Paul's pizza is excellent. Yes Smoker's are allowed. One of the few places around you can relax have a drink or beer and light up. Non smoker's should not complain because they have virtually the rest of the city to go and have a non smoking area to drink and relax.
Wed. night the Guiness special is awsome from 9-11pm. Other nights you can get a 5 dollar pitcher of beer. Friday there is a drink special from 9-11. The people are friendly if you respect the establishment as the owner is well loved by many people.
You can park in the Natonal City Bank during evening hours and all day Saturday and Sunday. They will be open for Steeler games in the fall and if the kitchen isn't open you can order out for food.
I will be back a hundred times over.
Bad food – Once, but never again. The pizza was really lousy, and all through the night, my body kept reminding me how bad it was. The smell of smoke didn't help make the experience any better. The girl behind the bar was pretty though.
Best Stromboli I've had in years – Wandered around downtown P-burgh trying to find the perfect balance between beer and food after a long day in meetings. Found it here.
Great place to hang out...great bartenders – This place is a great place to hang out and unwind. The night time bartenders are great, friendly, funny, not to mention pretty good looking.
There are specials, great music, mega touch, and darts...also plenty of comfortable booths. While the ID'ing has become pretty strict over the years no biggie just take your ID.
I agree with the previous reviewer Pizza Paul may be less than pleasant sometimes, to say the least....but the Pizza is good.
Cheap Drinks.. – If you're looking for a place to get some decent drink specials, PHI is the place. The service from certain bartenders is mediocre at best. You would think that after being a regular customer for over a year that the staff would at least remember your face and not insult you by asking for multiple forms of ID. For the amount of business that I've brought here, you would expect something in return except a bad attitude. Overall a good place to relax after a long week at work but below average for the varied service.
Pizza Paul is the man. Great food and he actually cares that you're his customer.
good owner & family – Loving paul, he has a great place, good food, good conversation, great prices. Miss u much, hope to see u soon!! Miss u since Corleones!!
Where everybody knows your name – Ever want to be a regular at a bar where the owner and bartenders buy you shots and ask about your life because they know what's going on in it? PHI is perfect for this. If you want to wear heels and skanky clothes and dance the night away, you're not going to like it. It's the perfect little dive bar to become your favorite new low-key hangout. There is tons of seating, which makes the whole experience a lot more pleasant. Pizza Paul may be less than pleasant sometimes, but his pizza tastes great, drunk or otherwise. The jukebox has just about everything you need, but you will have to fight me for control of it.
