that is not peruvian food!! – I am peruvian, and I can tell you that that is not peruvian food. I have eaten there twice I think. They try to use some peruvian ingredients but NO!!! that is not peruvian food. I really rather make my own peruvian meals before going to a peruvian restaurant anywhere in this country. Peruvian food is awesome!!!!

Far off from peruvian food – I'm Peruvian and very proud of its food. This restaurant does not on any form resemble Peruvian food and therefore should stop giving bad name to Peruvian food, it should be La Feria --for crappy food. The food is bland, cook for sick people, and expensive! I'm never coming back here, except to buy a sweater!

Yummy – We visited La Feria while in the mood for something different one Saturday evening, and it was very enjoyable! It was a very quaint dining atmosphere and the food was fantastic.

Like a remote village in the Andes, diners will never find La Feria without a guide. – The Scene
La Cucina Flegrea shares a door with Pamela's (upstairs) in Shadyside. Now that that's settled, don't overlook it. La Feria is a restaurant and a Peruvian crafts shop. In the restaurant section, it offers distinctive Peruvian cuisine, served casually and at very reasonable prices.

The Meals
The food is actually cooked downstairs and brought to the second floor. There are sandwiches, salads and daily specials. Try the sweet-potato chip appetizer with a cheese dipping sauce. There is one vegetarian and one meat special during the week, and on weekends, there are usually two of each. Pastel de papas (a casserole of beef, raisins and black olives in a tangy sauce and covered with whipped potatoes) and a corn casserole for vegetarians simmered with peanuts and beer are examples of the weekly specials.

Hurray for small specialty restaurants! – I love this place!! We need more restaurants like this and less big chains. The food is terrific and the staff is pleasant. After eating there a couple of times, they even know your name.
