I Love The Compliments I Get! – I have been relying on Deborah Albanese for cut, perm and highlights for many years. Obviously, I am a very satisfied client. An example of her color skill happened one day as I was waiting in line at my bank. A nice-looking gentleman behind me learned around and said "Your hair is the most beautiful color". I said that it gets a lot of help from my colorist. He replied, "How do they do that? It looks so natural". I was pleased, but not surprised. Deborah's skill and the care she gives to each client's requirements are evident in the results. It's always a pleasure to visit the salon.
Best Salon in San Francisco – Albanese Hair Salon really is the best!
If this was food, I'd be a "foodie" but this is hair... and I certainly don't want to call myself a "hairy" but I am a hair snob. I don't care as much about the cost but I do care tremendously about the quality. There are lots of people who have high prices, and I've tried many of them, but are not even close to the quality you can get at Albanese Hair Salon. The value is tremendous and I love the subtleties and attention to detail I always receive from Deborah Albanese at Albanese Hair Salon. She's been my hair for over 14years. I travel a lot and sometimes get my hair done in New York, Paris, or Milan but am always happy to see Deborah. Believe me, I know hair and of all the places I've been, Deborah is the best!
Done right the first time – I came to this salon 4 years ago. Another salon had a guy charging way more than he should have and really messed up my hair. My client with great hair recommended Albanese Hair Salon so I tried Deborah Albanese. She fixed my hair and has been doing it ever since. I love the salon, the location near shopping and easy parking at Union Square and most of all the quality of work. Deborah is real classy and subtle with her color and cuts. Exceptional value is my inherent feeling.
Bad experience – I decided to go to Deborah because I read that she was voted by Allure magazine as the best stylists and colorist in the U.S. I have been to numerous top stylists/colorists in NYC and I can say without a doubt that this is NOT true. Deborah does seem knowledgeable, but I was never happy with my hair. The first time I went, I could not notice the difference, it was like my hair had never been colored or cut. The second time, she did something to damage my hair - I walked in with no split ends and walked up with a whole bunch. Very bizarre! Additionally, the color was not at all what I asked for. Two days later, though, when I washed my hair, the color completely rinsed right out of my hair!
Downtown salon with splurge-worthy cuts, texturizing styles and colors that add depth. – In Short
Inside the circular main room of this intimate salon, clients enjoy a nearly 180-degree view of Union Square while treating their tresses to sophisticated 'dos from the owner and a small team of stylists. Freestanding gold mirrors, delicate wire-track lighting and two dressing rooms adorned with deep purple curtains add regal glamour to the otherwise simple interiors. The signature Multi-Spectrum Dimensional Color and highlighting services aren't cheap, but clients rave about the results.
