Not at all worth the money – For $23.95 a person this was an awful attempt at a top notched buffet. The beef they do hand carve but its a piece of rubber some kind of cut that looked like a beef tenderloin but was eye roast or something. I would not suggest this to anyone. Drive up the road 2 miles and much better food around the outlet mall or go to Shady Maple Smorgasbord in Blue Ball for half the price and much better food. Not even close to what is advertised on quality of food and service. Building is nice and attractive with the billboards leading to the exit but please do yourself a favor and pass by to save money and time.
NOT a typical buffet!! Wonderful homeade food/desserts. – Dont let the name "smorgasbord" turn you off if you're like me & think that means lower quality massed produced foods. A friend dragged me to Miller's & WOW was I impressed! A chef carving fresh beef! All fresh veggies like 'real' mashed potatoes; a SEAFOOD bar w/ shrimp! Homeade salad dressings, bread, & fresh homeade desserts! They have a bakery on site. And they even have a liquer license too which makes it perfect for couples & small groups dining out! A little pricey for a smorgasbord but then this place is NOTHING typical. It ranks in the classes with other nice restaurants with great food in the area . If you like the taste of very good food from classy restaurants & add a touch of homeade appeal, Millers is the place for you.
Quality Food. No wonder it is ranked as the best in Lancast – Sometimes when you hear that a restaurant has been ranked as the best in the area, you think to yourself. Why is it the best or is a reviewer/editor’s opinion really accurate? Millers has been consistently ranked as the best smorgasbord in Lancaster and it lives up to its ranking.
When a person thinks of a buffet, they think of the all you can eat part because that’s what a buffet is. But do people really think about the mass cooking of food? Usually, it seems buffet food is lower quality because it has to be prepared quickly and on a large basis. Millers does not give up on quality and maintains a clean, organized, and well stocked buffet. Millers is very organized when it comes to accommodating large groups of people (off a bus).
What I think is good at Millers? Well, they are definitely known for their fried chicken which is excellent. I also like their noodles, dry corn, and seafood bisque soup. They have a wide variety of other foods including fresh desserts (ice cream, bread putting, pies, cakes, etc.) I always get the full buffet, but they have other options for people on a tight budget including 1. soup and salad only and 2. hot food only. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is very close to the main attractions in the area, so it’s not a far drive from the main area of Lancaster (literally like 5 to 10 minutes).
If you don’t want to do the buffet, Millers also owns Plain & Fancy Farm down the road which is an authentic Amish farm atmosphere, but is mainly the same food.
Overall, very good restaurant. Expect to pay about $23+/- per person for the entire buffet, but worth it.

The area's oldest smorgasbord is also its biggest and most expensive. Miller's is a clean, well-lit experience meant for the very hungry diner or the very devoted tourist. Miller's offers the usual run of Amish foods, such as apple butter, barbecued beef strips, brown buttered noodles, salad with hot-bacon dressing and wet-bottom shoefly pie. But there are also plain old American specialties such as Old Bay seasoned shrimp, fried chicken, rime rib and cheesecake.
Love Miller's – We first went to Miller's last month and were extremely pleased! The shrimp station was awesome, the other stations were also varied and quite good. I particularly enjoyed the cider sauce and horseradish sauce, with the freshly sliced meat, and what an assortment of tasty desserts! We were there on a Thursday evening, it was not crowded, very pleasant service. We enjoyed it so much we went again this month to celebrate my Husband's b'day. There were a few buses there but much to our delight, they had two indentical set ups and there was no waiting at any station. My husband mentioned that it was his b'day and the extremely pleasant waitress took $6.00 off our bill and presented him with a small b'day cake complete with candles. We were just as happy on the second visit, big crowd and all. we look forward to our next visit.
Decent food for a tourist trap – We went here on a Tuesday night in May, and the place was mostly empty. The food was decent, but the desserts were top notch! We sampled several of the desserts, and all of them were outstanding, especially the 'shoo-fly pie'. The all-shrimp station was good, and the hot bacon dressing for the spinach salad was outstanding. We thought the selection of food available could have been bigger, however, and the price was expensive (this was a higher price per person than our buffet at Harrahs in Atlantic City the night before).
MILLERS HAS LOST ITS APPEAL – MY FAMILY HAS BEEN CUSTOMERS OF MILLSERS FOR OVER 30 YEARS I WILL NOT BRING THEM BACK AGAIN DUE TO THE FACT THERE ARE MANY MANY MORE RESTRANTS IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA FOR THE SAME OR LESS MONEY THAT WILL EXCITE YOU WHEN DINING THERE WAS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THE MEAL OR THE RESTRAUNT THAT WOULD MAKE ME COME BACK LIKE IN YEARS PAST

Tourist Trap is right! – This was the worst dinning experience we had in the area. We arrived with nine people at 7:45 and we did not have reservations (please), it was a Tuesday evening and they were NOT that busy, we were told it would be half hour, ok we said. After being passed over for over 45 minutes we were called to the dinning room only to find it half empty with plenty of tables available. The service was just ok and the food was well not homemade and the price WOW for the $47 for two I thought we were back in Chicago. Never again!!!!
Fine Value – We went here at the height of the tourist season. It was crowded but what a palace! The service was friendly and personal. This was buffet style but the food tastes home made and very delicious. The price although not bargain basement was reasonable. There was a tremendous choice and I went back twice to fill up. Some of the items were really expensive like the endless supply of South African lobster tail, Alaskan King Crab, Porterhouse steak. Fantastic. Highly recommended.
